  • Comment: Another awesome experience with Dans Fish! 8 chili rasboras, 8 Pygmy corydoras, and 4 red cherry shrimp arrived alive and healthy two weeks ago and have been thriving in my nano tank since. (Plus a bunch of longfin bronze Cories I got for my main tank, which are also thriving.) After experiences with unhealthy stock from my local store, using Dans Fish as my supplier is a dream. Worth every penny not to have to worry about illnesses or setting up a quarantine tank for my new arrivals. Thank you!

  • Comment: Was a little nervous ordering fish on line but after watching Dan's video on how he runs his business I was sold. All 10 Cardinals arrived alive and good health.The way they are packaged and shipped (with heating pad) was pretty impressive. Would definitely order again from Dan's. Shipping was fast... shipped on 2/10/25 received on 2/11/25. Update: It has been 9 days since I got my Cardinals and all 10 are doing great!

I have not had the same experience with others so now I put my planned purchases on the wishlist and order from Dan's.   • Comment: All 17 live items arrived healthy and alive today! Packaging was phenomenal and heat packs were still going! Each fish & one pleco were in their own package(I think they were double bagged) and honestly the bags were clean & the fish were moving. The blue velvet tiger barbs are adorable as well as the Yo-Yo loach, Celestial Pearl Danios, Red Laser Rainbows, Pseudomugil ivantsoffi (blue eyes) and the grand item is a L128 Blue Phantom Pleco. I'll update on everything in the next few days! Great job - Dan's Fish!

  • Comment: My shipment from Dan’s Fish arrived perfectly on my doorstep between 3 anticipated snow/ice storms here in Maryland. Perfect timing! Heat packs were at 89 deg and bagged fish water was a nice 78.8 deg. As always the selection of specimens, packaging, shipping, delivery, communication of all that was perfection! I ordered Red Lizard Whiptails-originally only 1 but Jonny was kind enuf to add 2 more to my order when I emailed him a week prior to ship date. Thank you Jonny! Also in order: LF Albino Cories-had on my wishlist and when restocked and notified by email I grabbed up the last 4! Beautiful! Panda Garra(1) so cute and active! Bolivian Ram(1) is coloring up in lovely colors, finage is beautiful. Amanos (4 pack) came in nice size and got to town in the tank doing their shrimpy thing😁 Thanks again Dan, Jonny and all at Dan’s fish (team)!   • Comment: The orange and red neocardina shrimp arrived in great condition and they were super active. 1 out of the 7 white cloud mountain minnows arrived dead. Recieved a refund for it the same day I reported it. Of the 6 living white clouds, 1 was super lethargic and not doing well. It did recover and is doing just fine along with the other 5 white clouds. My borneo sucker loach was in excellent condition when it arrived and immediately stuck to my aquarium glass upon release. I totally recommend Dan's fish!!

  • Comment: With the exception of one of the CPD's that arrived extremely skinny all the fish came in excellent condition. It took about 6 hours for the Diamondhead Neons to color up but they look good after the the 1st several days. The Zebra Otocinclus are incredibly beautiful and began feeding on the tank algae in a matter of just a few hours as have the Reticulated Loaches. I'm looking forward to adding more Otos when they become available...

They are acclimating well to my aquarium and thriving! They are beautiful little cory cats. Update: The False Julii are still doing well. They are eating and really cleaning the bottom of my aquarium. They have a great personality.

  • Comment: All of the Cenepa came small, thin and one with a slightly concaved belly. And obviously it did not survive after a few days. This same problem happened a few weeks before with my purchase of Dwarf chain loaches. This goes against the reason I bought fish from here because they advertised that they’d fatten the fish up before shipping them out, ensuring optimal survivability. Obviously a starved, weak, and stressed from shipping into a new environment is a death sentence to any fish. Since this has happened to one of their most expensive fish I can only assume the quality control has deteriorated drastically. Sad to say that I won’t be ordering any fish from here again and I highly discourage everyone from buying nano fish on this website unless you want to take a chance of receiving a dying fish that has been starved for who know how long

  • Comment: My gosh they were all small (not a bad thing) I have been in the hobby since the 1970's & remember fish were never sold at such tiny sizes. But, the industry has changed and it's typical in many local & online stores. The grow out will be awesome to see I have NO complaints about the fish as all appear healthy, arrived as promised and the interior was still warm due to the heat packs. One of the two peacock gudgeons I ordered is not looking very good, at the bottom not moving, but I’m going to give it a couple hours. The pigmy cory cats are all doing great! Thank you!

  • Comment: Ordered 6 juvenile Electric Blue Acara and 6 yo yo loach. All fish came alive and healthy. Commented “ hoping for atleast 1 female EBA, “ only been in tank now for literally a week. And I got a clutch of eggs on a rock being guarded. Happy Fish tank and chill already. Waiting to see the outcome of the other 4 that are smaller in size, they will be moved soon. The YoYo Loaches have decimated 3/4 of my snail issue in planted Angel tank already, couldn’t be any happier.   • Comment: Everyone arrived in good shape. All doing very well the 1st few days. The shrimp have already begun to feed on the tank algae. The Platinum Rummynose Tetras colored up and joined the school within hours and the Reticulated Hillstream Loach wasted no time looking for algae on the tank glass, plants and rocks. I was initially concerned with the size of the Chile Rasbora. Almost the size of most fish fry. However, they quickly sought refuge in some floating plants and are schooling with the other Chile and Strawberry Rasbora that have been in the tank for about 8-10 months.

  • Comment: All 17 Platinum Rummynose arrived alive and good looking. After acclimating and adding to the tank, 1 seems to be listless and weak. The rest seem very healthy and happy. I'll keep an eye on the 1 possible dud, but I'm otherwise pleased with the fish. This makes 30 total Platinum Rummynose I've received from Dan's Fish, so even if the 1 does not make it, 29 out of 30 isn't bad! So I'd give a 4.83333/5 rating. We can round that to 5.

  • Comment: Spectacular process for shipping resulting in the delivery of fish that are in prime condition. Dan's also seems to source only from quality suppliers so the livestock is almost always premium. Indeed, all of the fish I received were wonderful.... with one exception. The Angelfish had badly damaged pectoral, caudal and anal fins. It appeared to have been badly bullied. It's a beautiful fish, but I don't know that it will make it with badly shredded fins. So four stars because of this one unique issue. The shop deserves five stars. Wonderful in every way.

  • Comment: Dansfish rocks when it comes to shipping! I've never had fish arrive so carefully packed and it makes all the difference in the cold and with the various carriers maligned with delays. Another thing that Dansfish rocks is the quality of the fish they sell. All of my order, except for one blueberry snail, arrived looking healthy and strong. 24 hours later all are settling in well and seem to be adjusting just fine. I got Chili Rasbora, who seem to be notoriously delicate. While most of the 14 that came are still hiding, 6 were already out cruising their new home. That's already 100% better than the previous vendor I was using. Obviously, I highly recommend Dansfish!
