Comment: I ordered some Cory catfish from Dan's, and they arrived alive! I also received some feeder snails in the box. The fish are thriving, and the snails are growing larger. I hope to do business with them again once they have some of the items on my wish list.

Comment: Pleasantly surprised by the results of ordering fish online. Local retail options have become pretty limited (quality and species) and Dan's seemed to have both. Tracking the delivery was important to me as well and Dan's sent a delivery confirmation moments after I grabbed the box from UPS. They appear to value the customer experience as well as making sure the fish arrive safely.

Comment: I don't typically write reviews, but this company definitely deserves one! The week before delivery they reached out to let me know the fish I ordered needed to be treated. They gave me the option of pushing back the shipping date or canceling. They were transparent and I think it says a lot about their integrity to be willing to possibly loose a sale instead of sending me a fish that could be ill. I opted to wait for the treatment to be finished and ship once they recovered....and boy am I glad I did. They arrived in absolutely stunning condition, healthy, active, and immediately starting acting like they'd lived here forever. Thank you, Dans fish, for taking pride in the livestock you sell and caring about their welfare. Will definitely be buying from you from now on!

Comment: This was my first order, it arrived on time and was perfectly packed. All the fish looked great and settled right in. It has now been almost 3 weeks since delivery and all continue to thrive. A special note on the Cardinal Tetras, when I buy at local aquarium shops I have to pick and choose and try to get a few healthy ones, even then I always lose some in the first few days. I expected better from the Cardinals I purchased in this order and my expectations were met 110%! All looked fantastic right out of the bag and immediately joined up with my existing shoal, no losses and no illness. They have also grown noticeably and it is almost impossible to tell the new ones from my existing fish. Overall this was an excellent experience and I will be back!

I've had my last batch for over a year with no losses and this last time I bought 7 cardinal tetras. They all are still healthy and alive more then a month later. They are by far the best Cardinals I've ever seen. I will be forever going to Dan's fish! Love this store!

Comment: Our fish arrived safe and happy and warm today. Everyone in their own little bag. The heat pack was gently warm and water in the bags was 72 degrees. The fish were in good condition. After acclimating them I released them into my cycled, planted tank and they colored up right away. The 7 Corydoras are busy doing their pack wiggle while exploring the aquarium and the Bolivian ram is checking in on them with interest in between his own exploration. All the fish are plump, healthy, and lively. We are very happy with our purchase.

Comment: Out of 4 Reticulated Hillstream Loach only one survived after 2 days. One was DOA and 2 died the next day. I blame UPS not Dansfish. The shipping box was HOT upon arrival. Dansfish was responsive and compensated me for the DOA and the shipping portion. I keep hundreds of fish and have ordered from Dansfish before and will continue and believe they are a 5 star company. I have had problems with UPS previously and will only accept delivery from FedEx in the future. I support Dan’s Fish and locally owned fish stores.

Comment: I witnessed something that I found most unusual when I placed these new guys into the tank. I can only attribute this to their striking dotted and striped pattern and bw coloring. Half a dozen tetras including a neon tetra swam up close and just nudged the new guys. Startled when the corys moved and jumped to life again! That got the tetras got even more curious. I think they thought the corys were a new type of food? But they were definitely NOT trying to attack. Just a wacky curiosity. I wished I could have provided a video.

Small UPS box can have 4 extra small bags and I've got them with no fish (as part of shipping handling). So consider 10 small fishes for small UPS box.

Comment: Everything arrived as expected. Fish single packed. Snails grouped per bag. So 3x per. Immediately adapted and coloured up. With the exception of the purple mystery snails. They looked more brown than purple, I don't know if they age into a more purple shell. Within 3 days found one dead. Since I've only seen one cruising around the tank so I don't know if one is just happy in a corner I can't see or if it perished. From my experience with mystery snails has been they love running all over so leaning towards loss. Everyone else is still thriving after 3 weeks. Would buy again.

Comment: The quality of Dan's Fish is stellar. 16 nano fish, individually bagged, and a bag of 4 shrimp (with their own mini net for comfort and stability), all arrived in immaculate condition. They were in transit for less than 24h and the water in each bag was pristine. Comment: Dan's Fish ☆☆☆☆☆ Five Star Review☆☆☆☆☆ It was easy for me to confidently order from the Dan's Fish website; Why? Family and friends have ordered from Dan's Fish and extolled at their positive experiences. The ability to choose the shipping day either at checkout or later at the Dan's Fish website, I thought was amazing. The ability to login to the Dan's Fish website, anytime, and view the progression of my order as it was being prepared was so impressive. For example: "we're choosing and setting aside the best specimens for your order, we're fasting your fish in preparation for their shipment, your fish are being packaged", and more. The 10 Lazer Corydoras catfish I recieved in less than 18 hours, via UPS Overnight, arrived alive and vibrant! Neatly packed in individual bags for each of the ten, with a label on every bag. Most of the fish were moving around in the bags with eagerness as I lifted them out of the well insulated, heat pack included, box. They have acclimated very quickly and are swimming in a school with the other five Lazer Corys I have, making a total of fifteen, happy Fish. I'm so very pleased with the entire experience of ordering and receiving... and now enjoying, my latest Dan's Fish acquisition. It is highly worth doing business with Dan's Fish!

My duplicareus came in happy with no issues and literally 10 minutes later the markings turned jet black and that beautiful yellow orange spot was more than visible. Comment: My first shipment from Dan's with losses. But never fear, because Dan made it right! My shipment was delayed a day by UPS and it was extremely cold during that time. Comment: These guys really know what they are doing. We bought fish from somewhere else and Dans is above and beyond. Very professional, fish delivered alive and ready for our tank no quarantine needed. They do all that before the fish are sent by their Veterinarian. The fish are packaged neatly and safely according to the climate. But most important to me is that they breed their wide variety of species in house and don’t wild catch. Very impressed with their whole operation and very happy with our new fish!
