Comment: Really beautiful fish. All arrived in good condition--a bit pale, which is to be expected, but are now glowing brilliantly. Service was excellent and they've patiently dealt with me changing my order and asking myriad questions. Yes, they're pricy compared to others, but the quality is there to justify it, so well worth not having to worry about sick fish.

Comment: Once again all 10 new Emperor Kerri Tetras arrived in high spirits, (they definitely wanted out of the bags!). They were pale as ghosts, but immediately settled in and their colors returned! FYI: I recently watched a video (8 yrs old) showing how you pack and ship every order. It seems like an awful lot of work and CARE for the small fee you charge. ;) No I'm not suggesting you raise your shipping prices! ;)

Comment: Another great experience! Everyone was packed very well with a small heat-pack to keep them perfectly warm in the winter months. Chilis are still quite baby but otherwise seem in good condition. Finally getting them to eat for me on day 2 and am optimistic the rest of quarantine will go off without a hitch. As usual, the corys I got from Dan are the fattest I've ever seen available commercially. Two seem to be very rotund mature females based on how orb-shaped they are. Thanks again for the great fish!

Comment: So this was my 46th order (number) from Dan's in about 13 months. Yes, 46th - and whether I added, cancelled, moved dates, argued the appropriate price for mellis...I have always been met with top notch customer service. Now do they have the most variety? No, but what they have is the best you can buy and the packing is what I will try to emulate when I get up the nerve to start shipping. For me, it's worth the extra cost to know, without a doubt, that I am getting healthy fish. Dan's is not my only source, but it is my favorite.

Comment: All fish arrived alive and very well packaged the attention to detail surpasses anyone in the business. Each fish was double bagged and laser printed on the bag of what it was. As many of mine were juveniles it would have been hard to tell them apart inside the bag so this was fantastic. It also wasn't hand written by a rushed employee to where you couldn't read the writing. They are currently acclimating to their new homes. I see a place to add a video URL suggestion would be add a spot to add pictures.

After release I leave the lights off for another 30 or so minutes so the newcomers can feel safe learning their way around. Once The lights are on all were ready to eat. Comment: Shipping was delayed because of UPS airline tragedy- in doing so, it shows that Dan’s Fish really cares about their fish. I was impressed. My order arrived in perfect condition- all fish were active and looking good. Comment: Of course after winning the 6 Costae tetras I needed to fill out the shipping box, so I also got 2 more Costae tetra, blue shrimp, zebra nerites, green leaf algae eating shrimp, Apisto Nijsseni pair. So yes, I ended up with a bigger box! 😆 All arrived in healthy and energetic condition. The heat packs were still going strong and the water temp in the bags was a perfect 77 deg. I always check the water parameters in bags of shipped fish. I have hard well water with high tds. And yours was an exact match. And I live in western MD! Crazy! *The Apistos are beautiful and have decided to have their own places for now-coconut huts on rt & left of the tank. Hope they decide to shack up and give me some babies. Comment: This is the second time I order from Dan's Fish and am as impressed with my fish as much as I was the first time. My delivery made its way to my residence at 9:38 AM, I on the other hand did not return home from work until almost 4 PM. I was a little anxious and excited and a bit worried but the fish were fine. They were snuggly packed in the box and the heat pack still provided a nice ambient temperature. It's been almost a week and my fish have regained most of their color (lost due to stress from shipping) and my tank is looking nice and busy. Will be ordering again when the butterfly loaches are back in stock! Thanks for everything!

Comment: Fish arrived looking great. They are still looking good. They are tough little fish too. I have one in an unheated tank outside that I've been chasing with a net for 2 days. I'm moving the group from an unheated tank to a heated one for the winter. So far, the little stinker has evaded my net. I guess I'll have to take the entire tank apart to catch the little guy. All that is to say, it was in the 40's last night and he's still alive along with one fry I didn't know was in there.

Couple endler females arrived w/fry Puppy female was pregnant had babies 48 hrs later. I waited approx 80 hrs to send review. Thoroughly pleased wouldn't hesitate to order from dans again just hope I can get another tank set up before winter.

Comment: I bought 18 fish in total. Each fish came individually double bagged in a Styrofoam box with chemical heaters. All fish are currently in a pre-cycled 20 gallon quarantine tank. In about 12 hours all are very active and eating. No signs of parasites or disease. Very healthy. Would definitely buy from Dans again and would recommend.
