Comment: The fish arrived in great shape, very lively and still a comfortable water temp of 74°. They look amazing and handled the acclimation process very well. Amazing communication and delivery scheduling to work with our busy work hours. Fish are great, lively and colorful!! Will definitely order from again. Comment: I'm very happy with this group of fish and shrimp. After one week the loach and the tetras are doing well, although I did lose one of the platinum tetras within the 1st few days. The shrimp are beginning to come out of hiding and have really been working on the plant algae...hard workers!

Comment: As usual the fish arrived in good health although it took a little longer for the Albinos to adjust. By the 2nd day they were doing great. The CPD's were an exceptional group and I've ordered a few more to increase their numbers. The black Otocinclus are very tiny and disappeared for a few days, but are adapting very well.

Comment: I am happy to say all 4 guppies and the 3 snails arrived in beautiful health and are thriving (I think). The female dwarf panda has already given me 4 fry to enjoy! All are in a planted bowl with no filter as my classroom is challenged in terms of electrical outlets. Dan's was recommended by Aquarium Co-op and well worth it!

Comment: The 8 Longfin Cherry Barbs I received are stunning, and still thriving now 7 weeks later. (Word to the wise -- request a mix of sexes if that's what you want. I got all very beautiful males, but wanted some females, too, but failed to specify that. That was rectified in a later order.) The 3 Siamese Algae Eaters have thrived and grown at an astounded rate. The 10 Harlequin Rasboras have done great (excluding one mystery death) and they have reminded me why this species is so popular. They are beautiful, active, and peaceful. The 7 Gold White Cloud Mountain Minnows, unfortunately had something going on with them. One arrived dead, and 4 more died within days from no obvious cause. Apparently some started dying in Dan's tank, too. In the upstanding approach that I've come to expect from Dan's, I was refunded for all the white clouds I ordered (and their shipping cost), and they removed this batch of fish from their list of fish available for sale.

Comment: I appreciate the willingness of the crew to select all female longfin Cherry Barbs to add to the all male group I had received on the prior order. Now I can get going on breeding them. They are gorgeous, this line of longfin cherry barbs. And not a single health problem with them. All are still fat and sassy after 6+ weeks in my aquaria. The crew noticed that the white clouds were having some problems in Dan's tanks after being listed for sale, so they removed them from my order and refunded the cost, which I appreciate.

Comment: I was tempted to order from Dan's Fish after watching a YouTube video who recommended this supplier. I assumed that they are customer-oriented. So, I placed an order last Dec. 6. I received an email on Dec. 10 informing me that the planned shipping date will be on Dec. 16. I assumed that everything is in order. Dec. 9 at around 4PM, I received an email informing me that one of the fishes that I have ordered is unavailable. I asked why was I not informed and I was told that when they tried to pull the fish today it was not there. I find it odd in various aspects: 1. They should keep track of their inventory levels listed in their website and verify if they can accommodate the order prior to confirming the order. 2.They should have checked before sending me an information of the planning shipping date last Dec. 10 if all of my orders are available. 2. Why were they pulling the fish in the late afternoon on a day before it is scheduled to be shipped? Aren't they supposed to have the fish fast prior to shipping? I patiently waited for my shipment for 9 days only to cancel it at the last minute because the main fish that should have been shipped is not available. What a waste of time. Plus they are not even apologetic about it considering this is their oversight. This experience is really horrible. I will not place an order again.

Comment: The box arrived in the afternoon the day after it was shipped. It was very well packed and the heat pack was warm. The water temp in the bags was 71 F. All of the fish were alive and well. Customer service was excellent. I am an advanced hobbyist and Dan's is one of two sources that I use for fresh water fish.

Comment: Got another perfect shipment. Good temperature in the box, and everyone arrived alive and healthy. The Bloody Mary hillstream loaches were pale at first, but within hours had coloured up beautifully. The corys are still young, but their yellow fins have coloured up since yesterday. All of the fish are eating ravenously, as you would expect since they've been without food for the entire journey. As usual, Dan's did' a super job. They are definitely the ones to go to, and I'd recommend (and have recommended) them to anyone. They run as good an operation as anyone I know of. Further, they make sure that their fish are in top health when they send them out. It is an absolute pleasure to do business with people who care about the fish as much as I do.

Comment: This was the first, and so far my only fish which arrived dead. The heat pace apparently failed in transit, and since UPS had it in their truck all day, it froze. On the plus side of things Dan's Fish didn't hesitate to issue a refund. You can never fault the service of Dan's Fish. Their service, combined with the fact that very nearly all of the fish they send out arrive in great health is the reason that I would (and have) recommended them to anyone. It also should be noted that the failure of the heat pack was probably not their fault. Sometimes there's just a faulty one. No one can expect things to go perfectly every time. That poor little fish just happened to draw the unlucky straw this time out.

Comment: I don’t know of any other online fish retailer that does it better that Dan’s Fish. After a 24 hour delivery delay due to some wicked winter weather in upstate NY (you know- snow, wind, zero visibility, temps in the teens) ALL of my fish and shrimp arrived alive in 48hrs and are doing great! I can tell you, I was not hopeful. The water temp. was 71* and the heat packs still had some warmth to them. I gave them a couple hours to settle, and all were feeding later that evening. It just goes to show you that shipping HEALTHY fish CORRECTLY by people who CARE makes a difference. Great job to everyone at Dan’s Fish!! Thank you. Lisa W

Comment: One of the three blueberry snail is not moving around. It hangs some of its body out and does nothing for days. Two of the dwarf chain loaches came very weak, so weak and skinny that their head skeleton protrudes out. They’re trying to eat but seem picky. One of the rio Amaya developed dropsy after a few days and passed away the next day despite epsom salt bath treatment. All of the fishes from this batch are thinner and skinnier than earlier batch of the corresponding fish.

Comment: Originally had ordered a different species of Cory that was wild caught, they ended up getting sick and their customer service was on top of it! Ended up replacing them with a different kind and everything arrived in amazing shape, heat pack was still hot and the water was hovering around 74-75 degrees! Comment: Shipment was suppose to be delivered next day then got notified they would be in transit an extra 4 days!! I notified Dan's they said they would contact someone and see what they could do and my fish were delivered the day after in wonderful shape. The water was at 76.4 and the heat pack was still warm! Comment: Package was not labeled “live” anything. Ring camera recorded it being thrown by door in Florida heat. (Previous order was packed and was delivered with care directly to me - door bell was rung until I opened door). Chili were ok overall (2 were stressed and seem to still be small tiny and hide and glass surf non stop), 11 chilis were fine. 2/3 mystery snails (magenta) were oozing slime, i separated them in a separate tank, now I’m watching them slowly die, efforts to maintain stability are not paying off of it seems. Set up adjusted for 1 snail inability to come up for air, He’s floating sideways on a sponge, the other barely walking. Water quality excellent, temp stable, attempted to feed but kinda tricky (used sera veggie tabs). Golden Amano shrimp recovered it seems, 1 molted right away, seem to be doing good.
