Comment: Fish arrived in excellent shape. The yellow on the nijsenni isn't nearly as bright as the photo on the page. its kind of a dark mustard yellow. Maybe as time goes it will change. The Super Blue Kerri Tetras are beautiful. They've been schooling together with my cory cats and its fun to watch.

Comment: The 2 red dragon guppies arrived in perfect health. The tail is a bit duller than the red dragons I have, but the body is greener. They do look just like the picture on the website, so I got no complaints. What's amazing is how healthy they are. After 40 min acclimating in the bag, the male started chasing my female guppies in less than a minute after hitting the tank. Never seen a fish adapt so fast to a new tank. They are also pretty young, so lots of breeding in the future. I'm happy they'll pass on their super healthy genes to the next generation.

Comment: I absolutely love these little guys. They came healthy, with intact fins . I've kept sparkling gouramis for a while and basically all had dull colors and nipped fins upon arrival. These are by far tge healthiest newcommers I've seen. Dan's did it, again, and I'll be back for more.

Comment: Yes, Dan's is more expensive than other sellers - worth every penny! Excellent customer service, great ordering experience, and all my fish arrived safe and healthy. They were packed incredibly well, which I was thankful for when the delivery person ignored all the arrows on the box and flipped it over as he set it on our porch. Super happy with my purchase and will gladly wait for out-of-stock fish to come back in at Dan's rather than look elsewhere.

Comment: Very pleased with my experience. My local trusted breeder didn't have the orange venezuelan I wanted so I decided to look online and I'm glad I did. The fish from Dan's Fish are beautifully colored compared to what I could find in local stores. The german blue ram is showing lovely coloring too. Ofcourse packaging was impeccable. I love that all the fish I ordered immediately colored up and were behaving normally; not stressed, after acclimating. They've had a chance to settle in since arriving; gone thru a couple weekly water changes, and there have been no losses or signs of illness. They are all eating well. It was not the cheapest option but the quality was worth it to me. I've already placed a 2nd order.

Comment: They got here at 10:00 am, I acclimated them - that's actually the fun part, I acclimatize fresh water very similar to salt water, 1 hour float with small quantities of tank water every 10 minutes. Get both temperature and PH close. My water is adjusted to be slightly acid and reasonably soft (low tech planted tanks). Then I sieve them through a net, discard the water and release them. All the fish are doing just great! Very pleased to get Dwarf Emerald rasbora finally!

I just wish I had found them before spending a fortune (and experiencing the heartbreak) on fish from countless other online stores that don't live more than a week after I get them. Comment: Ordered gold laser cories, Platinum Redtail Dumbo Ear Guppies, pygmy Cories, red shrimp, assassin snails. Packaged very well, no visible bag failure, but multiple issues. Shrimp looked deep blue (i thought it was a mix up! Nope, ) 3 died within day, one has white wispy extra legs but not behaving like legs (?! Molting skin or mutant?), and ick on gold lasers and guppies sadly i put animals together in established aquarium (with previously purchased green neons and trail spot cory) before moving guppies to their own tank, so cannot tell who is suspect. Started ich-x and increased temp. I will still continue too buy and recommend Dans fish though, just hope they find this info useful and it should not detract from what an amazing store this is.

Comment: Most of the species arrived perfectly healthy per usual! The nijsseni pair were unfortunately very weak / ragged looking and one passed within 48 hours. On a shipment of close to 50 fish can't complain on one loss - but hopefully you bring these back at some point so i can reunite a pair. Edit: CS contacted me unprompted and refunded me for the loss. Mind blowing how awesome these guys are.

Comment: In this order I had ordered a panda angelfish and I had added a note that he was the main reason for my order. Unbelievably, Dan actually sent me a personalized video of the angelfish that they had so I could choose whether or not I wanted to keep the order or cancel it. The angels were very pretty, so of course I kept my order. He is healthy and happy, and though he did come a little bit smaller than I expected, that's alright Because i get to watch him grow. Dan really surprised me with the video and as usual, Dan's fish always has the best customer service of any company i know. Thank you so much for the personal attention Dan!

Comment: Fantastic experience! All fish and snails arrived alive and in beautiful condition. I've had them for two or three weeks now and everyone is still doing great. The ember tetras were bigger and healthier right off the bat than the ones I've had for 6+ months that I got from my LFS -- what a difference it makes to get animals that have been bred and cared for properly. The extra expense is WELL worth it. I won't be getting fish anywhere else after this -- it's worth it to save up a little longer and have all your new aquatic friends thrive!

Comment: Communication was great - responded to my questions before shipping. With the assorted fish selection, you don't know what you are going to get. The avg value of the fish exceeded the 9.99 price. All fish appeared healthy at unboxing - one fish was missing an eye, but still healthy.
