  • Comment: I've been really wanting some kuhli loachs for my tank. So when I was asked what I wanted for my birthday I knew exactly what I wanted! I was super nervous about ordering live fish online but now I know Dans fish is amazing!! They where at my front door step the next morning approximately 14 hrs later from takeoff. Also she originally ordered two short on accident and when I emailed them to see if I can add two more to the order that was responded to quickly and easily done. The fish are doing great so far in their new home. Every one arrived alive and healthy! I'll definitely order more fish from Dans again!

  • Comment: For my birthday I got these as a gift, It has been a week since I received the Gold Lyretail Killifish pair and Super Red Bristlenose pleco. They are doing very very good, best shipment of fish Ive ever received, yesterday I already collected 6 eggs from the killifish too, which I am very happy about. The pleco is doing really good aswell, super active and eating like a pig.   • Comment: All fish arrived alive and on time. With the changing season, temps are dropping and the water was pretty chilly - one of the Platinum Rummynose Tetras were almost in shock. Once floating in the quarantine tank and released, he bounced back very quickly and looks great. No issues. Just a heads up, it might be about time to start adding some insulation for heat retention during shipping. The Mystery SAE's were bigger than expected, but that is NOT a complaint just an observation. They are ready to get to work by the looks of them! Another awesome order from Dan's! Thank y'all!!

It will take a couple days for them to get their color, but they are picking around for food already. I drip acclimated them because I have much softer water with presumably lower PH, so I did them very slowly. Thank you Dan and crew!

As a nano/micro fish enthusiast I find it hard to order fish online. since most come with sunken stomachs and/or disease and they’re so small they rarely make it but they were a great size and healthy and they put these tiny fish individually in bags which is unheard of so glad I stumble upon their YouTube page and their philosophy on selling fish ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

  • Comment: Received my fish after a two days with UPS shipping and a delay. My concern thus far is the manner at which I saw the UPS delivery driver throw my small box of Apisto’s onto my doorstep. Can only imagine what the handling has been through the whole journey. May want to look for a delivery service who’s a little more compassionate about what they’re delivering.

  • Comment: Perfect across the board. Dan's Fish has an excellent species selection, including many hard-to-find types. I selected Rio Mamore Dwarf Cichlid, Trio (1M2F) and am quite impressed. Each fish was individually bagged, the shipping box insulated, and packaged with a warm pack -- the water at 78 degrees at delivery. The Apistos are healthy, active, and looking great. Have you gone to Dan's YouTube channel and watched the tour of the new facility? The water sourcing, purification, and conditioning system is beyond impressive. Dare I say Dan's Fish is the SpaceX of the aquarium trade?

  • Comment: I was a little apprehensive of ordering fish online. Did a lot of looking online after a lot of personal debate I pulled the trigger on some fish I really wanted with dans fish. Other then a minor screw up on my part ( had an issue with my emails) dans did an excellent job from communication to packaging. USPS did there job as well getting it them to me in a timely manner. Fish look great. All are eating well and settled in there new tanks. Honestly can’t say enough about these guys. Definitely a satisfied customer and plan to order again.

  • Comment: Ordered 8 CPDs and 8 Chili Rasboras that made the trip to WA alive and active. Packaging was excellent with each tiny fish in its own double bag and ship water looked very clean. I proceeded to temperature acclimate 20 minutes and they are now in their own (with a couple nerites and aminos) densely planted and scaped 10 and 15 gallon tanks. Chili’s came quickly to front of their tank looking for food. CPD’s are still hiding in their tank. They were a little smaller than expected but I am hopeful they all adapt and thrive. Would not hesitate to recommend Dan’s Fish as an online source for fish.

  • Comment: The overall packaging was very secure and no bags had any leaks. All but one fish handled the traveling and adjustment well and after almost 2 weeks only the one fish has died. Sizes of the fish may have been a bit small than I hoped, but the description was accurate. Communication with the team was great given that it was a holiday weekend and the responses were near immediate. Would highly recommend!

  • Comment: Received three Pygmy Corys…two died a few days later and the third wasn’t in good shape (it later died also). This happened during the hottest part of the summer. Dan’s Fish offered a complete refund of cost plus shipping…and suggested that I have them shipped to my local UPS store for pick up by me so that the fish wouldn’t be riding around in a hot truck for hours on their way to my residence. I did that and the Cory’s arrived fine and healthy! Excellent communication and accommodation from Jonny! Highly recommend this store.

  • Comment: This is the largest fish order I have made. I ordered from Dan’s Fish once before and was absolutely impressed by their communication and quick shipping. The individually packaged fish is amazing. Dan’s was the only successful place I have received healthy Rummynose tetras from, to include local big box pet stores (that rarely have them). The last order I made did great but there was an unfortunate water change incident that my wife helped with that caused a great loss of fish (we don’t mention it anymore 😬). This order was no exception. Rummy’s doing great along with the danios and dwarf rainbows. I only had two losses and both were due to the fish jumping out of the container I was acclimating them in (one danio and one tail spotted flying fox). Didn’t notice until the next day when I couldn’t find my new flying fox in the tank and then found it on the floor under the stand. The other flying fox is in another tank and doing great. So, I made another order yesterday. If you are considering ordering from Dan’s, you won’t be disappointed. Excellent!!

  • Comment: I've always been wary to buy fish online, but after reading through the FAQs, I wanted to give Dan's Fish a try. I'm very glad I did. All 16 of my fish were carefully packaged: double bagged individually as described. The water each fish arrived in wasn't even dirty. Everyone was alert and active. They're currently getting used to their new aquarium and I'm loving their looks and activity level already. I'm keeping a careful eye on them for the next couple days, but so far I will definitely be ordering all of my fish from here in the future!

  • Comment: All 8 Pygmy Cory’s and 8 Rick’s CPDs arrived safely and looked well. The CPDs are very active and seem to have settled in well as are 7 of the Cory’s. One was not doing well at 36 hours after arrival and I thought he had not survived. But this morning he is looking better! All in all am happy with the fish and with how well they were packaged, they were promptly shipped and arrived quickly. I will definitely come back when ready to add fish to the new 40 gallon that is currently cycling.

  • Comment: Healthy fish, exceptionally packaged is the standard at dans fish. It’s possible that there is another company that does it close to the level dans does, I’m not aware of them but it’s possible. However, there is no one that does it better. I can’t see myself ever buying fish from another source. Todays purchase was Pseudomugil Gertrudae Aru IV. Spectacular, breathtaking, absolutely captivating. I can’t begin to describe how stunning these fish are. The males colored up in a few hours and it was showtime!!! They are one of natures greatest spectacles and it’s a privilege to have them in my care. Update 9/8 all of the guys and gals are doing well, so we’ll that today they presented me with my first batch of fry!

I wasn’t able to get the package for about 30 minutes so it sat outside. When I opened the box everything was cool to the touch. All fish individually packed. They even filled the extra space in the box with bags of just water to help maintain temperature. All in all the best online fish buying experience ever. Dan’s fish is now my go to source for quality fish and shipping.

  • Comment: Everything arrived packaged well and it arrived fast, less than 24 hours after being shipped. Although everything was packaged great one of the green neon rasbora was DOA but Dan's Fish was quick to handle the situation. Some arrived skinny but hungry, but sadly over the next few days I lost a couple more. I also ordered a trio of the Platinum redtail dumbo ear guppy and I have already lost a female, and the other two are doing okay. This has been my second time ordering the platinum dumbo ear guppies as the first pair did not make it, I hope these two do. The lentipes gobies and dwarf anchor fish arrived great :) and are doing good. Overall it's been a great experience, but I have not had luck with the platinum redtail dumbo ear guppies and they are expensive!

  • Comment: The fish came in looking incredibly healthy. Colors were a bit stunted, but that's to be expected after being shipped. The gudgeons are behaving a bit sluggish, but I can assume this is due to stress and that they will become as active as my other gudgeons in time. The gudgeons are sold at a large size, dwarfing my 3 I had already. It seems as if they did a good job of getting the male to female ratio I requested, though time will tell, as no strong nuchal hump can be seen. The rasboras are doing well and are eager to eat baby daphnia. I originally planned to keep them with my gudgeons but the new ones seem a tad large at the current time. The rasboras are shoaling nicely in my QT tank.
