  • Comment: The rummynose tetras and yellow platy pair arrived in good condition with no issues. After placing them in my aquarium, all but 1 runnynose were swimming around together exploring. I was concerned at first about the missing rummynose, thinking it must have died or got stuck somewhere. Today I'm happy to report all rummynose tetras are accounted for and are swimming together front and center! Btw this is my first good experience with rummynose tetras. I'll definitely be ordering more in the near future!

  • Comment: All 24 harlequin rasbora’s and the Congo spotted puffer arrived in perfect condition. The puffer started eating snails that were already in the tank as soon as it got out of its shipping bag. The fish temps averaged between 70-75 depending on where in the box the fish were. Great shipping and great fish!

If I can, I try to order from Dan every time. The fish are worth every penny. If you are on the fence about bumblebee gobies - GET THEM - they are the cutest most personable fish. You will love them.

  • Comment: This was my first order from Dan’s, and I have had a much better experience than other online orders. The 10 Platinum Rummynose that I ordered were each individually packed, all arrived alive, and the heat pack helped them arrive with a water temp of 74.8° F. (EDIT: I corrected the temp, it was 74.8, not 94.8°, forgive my mistake.) They are already schooling well. I can’t wait to see them all colored up once they settle in.

  • Comment: Ordered a pleco and 2 small angelfish one month ago. The Flash pleco is very healthy, active, and fun to watch. One of the angels had a physical defect, and Dans Fish was quick to respond and rectify the cost. Despite the deformity to its mouth, the little guy is still going! My fish from Dans Fish are the healthiest fish I own. Better results than from my LFS.

  • Comment: Ordered 1 albino platinum Lyretail molly, 6 C. Schultzei Corydoras, and 2 bamboo shrimp. The heat packs were still warm and the fish were cozy and individually packaged. Unfortunately, one of the C. Schultzei arrived with Popeye in both eyes and a torn dorsal fin. It died on day two, despite my best efforts. Dan refunded the cost and shipping of the one fish. I was hoping for maybe a discount code for my troubles and next order but no. I also was NOT impressed with the customer service - particularly Jonny. I enquired about honoring first responders, military, and veterans with a discount code. I was then LIED to that they don't give discounts. Huh? Common knowledge you do offer discounts; aquarium co-op and Fishtory coupon codes ring a bell? When I pressed the importance of recognizing first responders, military and vets, I was given an even shorter and downright RUDE and uninformed response from Jonny. I quote, "Those discounts are through our affiliates, who are providing a service for us. There's no way to verify if someone is military or not online." The first responders, military and veterans didn't provide you with a service? BTW, 1000's of online stores offer military discounts verifiable by https://www.id.me/ After spending $100's of dollars and I was just about to spend $200 more - no way after how rude I was just treated. I was also not impressed with how the email was formatted. I could tell it came from Jonny's phone. There was no salutations, no thank you for your purchase- it was just short, rude, and unprofessional response. Attention: First responders, military and veterans. Dan's Fish does not value you or your service to the country. Don't spend your money here.

  • Comment: I cant say enough great things about Dan's fish! I bought multiple fish multiple times. They have a great mission. All of my fish have arrived healthy and are doing great. Its worth the price to buy his fish as Dan's fish go through a medication and quarantine process. Because of this, I know Dan's fish are MUCH less likely to transmit dangerous diseases to the fish in my current tank.

  • Comment: I wouldn’t order the Longfin tetras. They all arrived alive and well packaged but many of them had their tails torn, apparently they are fin nippers. If that had been listed in the description I wouldn’t have spent so much money on them. I would just stick to regular neon tetras. Update: Customer service responded with a refund and updated the description of the fish. 5/5 for customer service

Extra effort shows in each stage of the packaging toward care relating to safe arrival. Each fish shipped within its own self sealed bag, professionally labeled. Water in each bag arrived clean. Foam container is climate controlled using efficient heat packs with firm packaging. Foam container inserted inside a new appropriately sized carboard box.   • Comment: My fish came in looking great! It is doing well as a single Angel in my 46 gallon bow front and has even eaten a tiny bit of Xtreme Krill Flake within 1 hour after temp acclimation. The colors are stunning and I am so glad I was able to get one of these before they sold out!! Tiny rip in caudal fin but I expect that is because this is such a big fish.

That's very helpful as we calibrate heat pack usage in the changing weather. 63 F is a bit colder than we were going for, but those Neocaridina shrimp can live under ice, so I'm sure they will be just fine.   • Comment: I ordered 8 pairs of guppies, 4 different strains. They arrived about 2 weeks ago now. All fish arrived alive and happy! Acclimated well and look AMAZING! I did however have one of the groups (2 pairs blue metal dragon) die off one at a time over the next few days. No idea what happened. Every other fish is doing great and thriving in the same conditions and 2 of the groups dropped fry already.

  • Comment: To Dan's fish team, All 10 Macmasteri and 4 Viejita arrived healthy and beautiful yesterday. After slowly acclimated the fish, 4 hours later all fish are up swimming around. Packaging were amazing, fish were packed individually in a well small double bags and no leakage on all 14 bags. One of the big male viejita about 2in arrive with damage upper dorsal fin, something eating it down about 1/4 from front to the back. Will update another review in a few weeks on how fish are doing, eating,....ect. I added another star because there was misundersta nding on a minor issue. I emailed Dan about it and Dan resolved that issue right away. Thank you Dan for a great customer. Review update after 6 weeks. 10 wild Macmasteri now are almost double the size. I'm taking 2* away for picking pair. I bought 10 wild Macmasteri I ended up with 2 males and 8 females, I was hoping to get at least 3-4 males.

  • Comment: Fish were packaged well. I love that the fish are placed in individual bags. They also sent me an extra fish, which I appreciated, so thanks Dan's Fish for that! However the heat pack was totally cold and the fish water was quite cold as well. Luckily the fish were active and healthy, but I think they need to add another heat pack or one that lasts a bit longer. Overall though, I am happy with my purchase.
