Comment: Ordered 6 harlequins, 3 pygmys, 3 siamese algae munchers, and a cory cat. Everything arrived alive and happy to swim with their new friends!! Couple of delays cause of weather but nothin you guys could do about that, otherwise everything arrived healthy and happy to be in a new home, thank you.

Comment: This was my first time purchasing fish from here and it was an excellent experience. While I waited for my fish to arrive, I asked a couple questions regarding the fish I was getting to ensure I was properly prepared. They always answered promptly and were extremely helpful! When the fish arrived, each fish was in its own bag. All of them arrived in excellent condition with no signs of health issues and this was not a small order (18 fish and 4 amano shrimp). I currently have them in quarantine and cannot wait to add them all to my main tank. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Comment: I have spent money on shrimp catfish snails all different type of fish online and dans fish is the best one! Once they ship the box it comes the very next day! The way they wrap the fish is prefect!! Every fish is in their own bag and the water isn’t dirt at all! All my fish were active and seem happy. Very impressed and pleased! Comment: Ordering some (for me) expensive fish in the dead of winter probably wasn't my brightest idea, but all 10 of the fish I ordered arrived alive and warm (73F), despite sub-freezing temps outside. All appear very healthy--one female apisto was a little thinner than the others, but she's very active and picking at algae and plants, so clearly she's doing alright. As always, very well-packed, with no danger of the fish getting jostled too badly. The individual packing of each fish is always a great touch too.

Comment: The fish are absolutely beautiful. I was impressed by the care taken to package them. The bags were completely sealed and there were heaters in the box. Comment: Ordered 5 CPDs and just received them - all healthy and perky. Given that I live in Flagstaff AZ and they shipped from WY, they went through a lot of cold weather to get here - however the included warmer pack in the shipping box kept them in the right zone which made for acclimating them to the tank easier. Comment: I really appreciate the transparency with the shipping as well when there is unsafe weather to ship. All eleven fish arrived in excellent condition. Everyone was alive and healthy. The heat pack was plenty warm and I love how each fish is individually packaged! The color on the Celestial Pearl Danios are vibrant and they're thriving. The Blue Phantom Pleco is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to see it grow! Definitely will order again!

Comment: Everyone arrived individually packaged like all of our other orders. They were all colored up and eating within hours of being in their respective tanks. Out of 6 Kerri Tetras we have only had 2 die offs since we got them. We have had worse luck with ordering and purchasing fish over the past year from various places so it does not warrant an issue with us. We will be ordering more when I start gaining tank space or more more tanks set up.

Comment: My order was delivered in perfect condition. The heat packs were still warm and the fish bags were reading 73 degrees. Not too shabby for a winter delivery. All fish were in good condition and settled in to the 2 year old cycled quarantine tank. Cory’s and Pleco’s were eating off the bottom sand and algae on the walls right away.

Comment: Okay so this is an odd review because I did receive a dead fish however it was not the fault of Dan’s fish. There was a horrible snowstorm when we had feet of snow and bad winds. It was worse than expected. The delivery truck could not get through and ended up out in the cold longer than the truck should have been. They managed to deliver the next day. All were healthy but the pleco, who are not the best shippers in the first place. The customer support was wonderful and we got the refund for the fish. It was not the fault of Dan’s and they were supportive and kind.

Comment: I really wanted to leave a 5 star review. I have been following the channel for months and admired the vision of healthy fish and safe shipping. I waited and waited as my local fish store was scared for me if I ordered online. When the laser cory's were down to just a few, I finally pulled the plug (my local store was having issues getting the fish I wanted). I unfortunately was told after my confirmation they did not have the 2 main ones I wanted anymore. So I substituted one. I do wnat to say communictaion was great. When they arrived the inside box and water was 90 degrees. I acclimated them slowly and quarantined them for almost 2 weeks and 2 of them never really colored up. I ended up losing one shortly after and the other is still not colored up. My advice for customers is check the weather. They were freezing in WY but in TX we were in the 70-80s. My delivery did not sit outside waiting for me, it was immediately brought inside. I do not how Dan’s could have prevented this. Delays in shipping and weather happen. If I order again I will be making sure to compare the shipping places weather and our weather.

Comment: As my previous experience led me to believe would happen, Dan & crew again delivered healthy, active fish and shrimp with no issues whatsoever. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough if you are looking for quality fish delivered to your door. They are not the cheapest, but absolutely worth every penny. And when you live waaaay out in rural America like I do, there is no better place to get your wet pets.

Comment: The 8 Longfin Cherry Barbs I received are stunning, and still thriving now 7 weeks later. (Word to the wise -- request a mix of sexes if that's what you want. I got all very beautiful males, but wanted some females, too, but failed to specify that. That was rectified in a later order.) The 3 Siamese Algae Eaters have thrived and grown at an astounded rate. The 10 Harlequin Rasboras have done great (excluding one mystery death) and they have reminded me why this species is so popular. They are beautiful, active, and peaceful. The 7 Gold White Cloud Mountain Minnows, unfortunately had something going on with them. One arrived dead, and 4 more died within days from no obvious cause. Apparently some started dying in Dan's tank, too. In the upstanding approach that I've come to expect from Dan's, I was refunded for all the white clouds I ordered (and their shipping cost), and they removed this batch of fish from their list of fish available for sale.

Comment: I appreciate the willingness of the crew to select all female longfin Cherry Barbs to add to the all male group I had received on the prior order. Now I can get going on breeding them. They are gorgeous, this line of longfin cherry barbs. And not a single health problem with them. All are still fat and sassy after 6+ weeks in my aquaria. The crew noticed that the white clouds were having some problems in Dan's tanks after being listed for sale, so they removed them from my order and refunded the cost, which I appreciate.

Comment: I was tempted to order from Dan's Fish after watching a YouTube video who recommended this supplier. I assumed that they are customer-oriented. So, I placed an order last Dec. 6. I received an email on Dec. 10 informing me that the planned shipping date will be on Dec. 16. I assumed that everything is in order. Dec. 9 at around 4PM, I received an email informing me that one of the fishes that I have ordered is unavailable. I asked why was I not informed and I was told that when they tried to pull the fish today it was not there. I find it odd in various aspects: 1. They should keep track of their inventory levels listed in their website and verify if they can accommodate the order prior to confirming the order. 2.They should have checked before sending me an information of the planning shipping date last Dec. 10 if all of my orders are available. 2. Why were they pulling the fish in the late afternoon on a day before it is scheduled to be shipped? Aren't they supposed to have the fish fast prior to shipping? I patiently waited for my shipment for 9 days only to cancel it at the last minute because the main fish that should have been shipped is not available. What a waste of time. Plus they are not even apologetic about it considering this is their oversight. This experience is really horrible. I will not place an order again.

Comment: The box arrived in the afternoon the day after it was shipped. It was very well packed and the heat pack was warm. The water temp in the bags was 71 F. All of the fish were alive and well. Comment: Honestly was a little skeptical about buying fish online but when I got my order today my it relieved a lot of anxiety. Everyone came healthy, alive and most of all happy! Comment: Got another perfect shipment. Good temperature in the box, and everyone arrived alive and healthy. The Bloody Mary hillstream loaches were pale at first, but within hours had coloured up beautifully. The corys are still young, but their yellow fins have coloured up since yesterday. All of the fish are eating ravenously, as you would expect since they've been without food for the entire journey. As usual, Dan's did' a super job. They are definitely the ones to go to, and I'd recommend (and have recommended) them to anyone. They run as good an operation as anyone I know of. Further, they make sure that their fish are in top health when they send them out. It is an absolute pleasure to do business with people who care about the fish as much as I do.

Comment: This was the first, and so far my only fish which arrived dead. The heat pace apparently failed in transit, and since UPS had it in their truck all day, it froze. On the plus side of things Dan's Fish didn't hesitate to issue a refund. You can never fault the service of Dan's Fish. Their service, combined with the fact that very nearly all of the fish they send out arrive in great health is the reason that I would (and have) recommended them to anyone. It also should be noted that the failure of the heat pack was probably not their fault. Sometimes there's just a faulty one. No one can expect things to go perfectly every time. That poor little fish just happened to draw the unlucky straw this time out.
