The fish look amazing…healthy! They were scared (rightly so!) when I first transferred them to their new home, but this morning they already seem super active and very willing to eat! They have glowing reflective eyes and they school very tight. Dazzly group of great fish! The orange Venezuelan Cory’s are also great. My substrate is black and they really stand out- active and foraging immediately - an A+ order.

  • Comment: I always order a few Hillstream Loaches when I place an order from Dan’s/ super fun and cool fish! This was my first time ordering shrimp and I couldn’t believe it- once I had them ready to add, I plopped them in- they headed for cover as expected- I was busy working on something else and turned around and the shrimp ( green algae eaters and blues) were already out foraging around! It couldn’t have been more than 15 minutes. Excellent order and packed with outstanding care as always.

My money was refunded 5 minutes before I got the email saying what was going on. Being the money was already allocated for fish... who am I to not order more. I've seen the Reticulated and Butterfly Hillstream loaches listed as each other, in other shops. So I figured I might as well have one of each.

I waited a few months for the zebra loaches (I had one, and he needed buddies) - I reached out via email and actually got a human being reply, and that they were being quarantined. Got notified they were ready. The process was so smooth - and the little guys are happy and healthy! I looked into other sites with available loaches and a lil cheaper prices/shipping but ultimately it was not worth the risk of placing my ecosystem in danger. Thank you so much!

  • Comment: I just received my order of 10 Orange Venezuelan Corys, 6 Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, 8 Blue Shrimp, and 4 Amano Shrimp. All are as healthy and happy as can be! 100% success! The corys automatically started rummaging around for food. The shrimp are happily eating the algae. The Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish are a bit more shy but they’re sticking together as a group and shimmering so beautifully! Everybody is pretty small so I’m excited to watch them grow and become more vibrant in color. Communication support is amazing and somebody always gets back to me quickly. Dan’s Fish has answered all my questions and helped me with the first fish to put in my tank. I’ll be buying all of my fish from Dan’s Fish!! It’s so nice knowing the fish are cared for and arrive healthy and fat and sassy!!

I was so excited when I got the note that my fish were on their way. They've been in the tank now for a week. And my Congo tetras are already breeding. So apparently I got a really good deal lol. My angels are just adorable about the size of my thumb I swear. Everybody's healthy and happy and my brand new tank. I'm so excited to be back into fish again. Now I just have to stay away from buying more fish because then have to buy more tanks. And more tax means I need a bigger house.

  • Comment: This is my first order with Dan's, and I am really impressed. Each fish was individually bagged and packaged with care. Unfortunately, one fish has Ick and is in quarantine, but IT'S NOT the seller's fault. I ordered Rummynose tetras, and they easily get sick from stress. I have lost whole schools of these guys from adding new fish. All of the others in my order are healthy and are thriving with my existing stock, so this poor guy got sick in transit. I will order from Dan's Fish again.

  • Comment: After a year in the hobby and time spent figuring out what I like in a tank and what doesn’t work well I decided to start a tank with the healthiest Livebearers possible. I knew Dan’s fish was the place to go. Platies are my favorite and I wanted to try guppies so I went with the sunrise hi fin platies and bluegrass guppies. They arrived carefully packaged, ideal temp (in August) and ready to thrive in their new home….so healthy and beautiful. After 6 days the guppies had fry and the platies are working on it. My healthy Livebearer tank is just what I hoped for. Thank you!

After a few days of acclimating the apistogramma and killifish look even better than I expected!   • Comment: First bad pair of fish i have ever gotten from Dan. The female was healthy and happy, but the male showed up with pop eye. After 2 months of constant tank maitenance to keep parameters perfect, 2 rounds of erythromycin and 2 of kavaplex his eyes were normal, but he was constantly hidden. The female is happy as a clam and always out. Today after 2 ish months of meds and constant effort to save him, he finally died. Usually, everything i get is top notch. This one was not. Poor quality fish, and now I have a lone female krib.... I was only buying fish from dans, but have since started using a few other suppliers for cichlids in particular. I had a similar issue with a pair of apisto from dans a year back, but the female had the Popeye. Wasn't sure if it was from shipping or what, but atleast i was able to save her. This krib had the worst most consistent popeye i have ever seen.

  • Comment: I ordered and very promptly received 20 CPD's after hearing Dan has the best of them around. When the box arrived I was happy to see them insulated and each fish individually bagged so as to make sexing them easier. I received 13 males and 7 females, some of which need some growing, overall I'm very happy with them, their colors and patterns are showing to be extremely vivid and their bodies healthy. Highly recommend ordering from Dan! I know I do.

  • Comment: I loved my blue cochu tetra so much (already got some from Dan's) that I got more. Also, I had about 3 Cardinal tetra that I picked up somewhere and thought I should get some friends for them. I can't say enough about the healthy nature of fish from Dan's. I've gotten fish from many places locally and online and NOBODY has compared to Dan's. Not even close. Even my wife told me, "just pay the money and get them from Dan's" because she saw me having such difficulties trying to get fish to live (especially rummynose) that I got other places. It's worth every dime.

  • Comment: I ordered these rummynose tetra from Dan's in order to add to the collection I have. The ones I've had for awhile are large and very plump- super-active. The new ones are smaller, of course, but still have the right body shape for their size and are doing great! I won't buy rummynose tetra from anywhere else. I have a few that I bought locally that actually lived, but they look skinny and stunted compared to Dan's because they weren't cared for properly early in life. DAN'S IS THE BEST.

I quarantined them for a few days (just to allow them to adjust to my water in peace) and then released them to my 75 gallon tank. The pleco is eating up the algae and the cardinals fell right in with the others I have and are growing nicely!

  • Comment: I have found the only online fish store I will ever deal with. When I overpurchased in my inexperience in the hobby they were super about refunding for what I couldn't take. The modified order arrived in amazing shape. Every fish came in an individual bag with three temperature regulating bags with it. The care with which the fish will packaged was super confidence inspiring. All the fish look healthy, strong and reasonably stress-free. They've been introduced to the quarantine tank and they all look super. Thank you so much to the folks at Dan's fish!   • Comment: Two days after receiving my first order from Dan's Fish, I turned around and ordered more because of the immaculate packaging and amazing health of my original order. This second order did not disappoint - 2 pygmy Cories, 2 Chili Rasboras, and 4 cherry shrimp arrived happy and healthy, and have already started making themselves at home in the tank and are coloring up just after an hour or so!
