Comment: First off, what WONDERFUL customer support- I had a tank crash hard on me and Dan was super helpful in canceling part of the order intended for the crashed tank. The snails came extremely quick, packed with care, and they arrived happy and healthy and ready to join my tank. 10/10 will be using Dan's Fish again for my aquatic life needs. ~Thank you random lady at Petsmart for suggesting Dan's Fish as well!

Comment: I ordered ten celestial pearl danios. They shipped right on time and arrived in really good packaging. Everyone was alive and perky when I opened up the box. I may have gone a little above and beyond acclimating my new fish, but as soon as they touched my aquarium water they started schooling and exploring their new 40 gallon home. I will definitely be shopping with Dan's Fish again. (no video because we are lights out to reduce potential stress)

Comment: These Exclamation Point Rasbora's are indeed small but I found them quite entertaining for their size as the like to dart around the tank generally close together. At times they all also wander off on their own. I decided ten wasn't enough so I have placed an order for more. They were so small that my other tetras would certainly have thought they were food so I set them up in their own tank.

My shipment was delayed due to ups from a overnight to a 2 day and the water temperature in the box was still at 80° when the fish arrived. He was a bit expensive compared to other cites but I think it was worth it.

Comment: I was really freaking out because my order was delayed by a day. I tried to tell myself I know Dan says they are okay if they get delayed. Good news. They all came today and everyone is active and happy to get out of their bags. Thanks to Dans premium packing techniques. I really love the fish are small when I get them. Comment: My first order, not my last.... In spite of a weather delay in shipping, fish arrived in 2 days, and all seem healthy. Packaging was solid, each fish individually double bagged, and I assume oxygen enriched, fasting must have occurred as there was very little poop in bags. After acclimatized to temp in tank, I released into tank, and all seem not very traumatized... Corys immediately started doing their thing, Plecos, disappeared, but soon were seen attached to inside of tank, and the dwarf neon Rainbows hooked up and cruised around..... I can't wait until they grow some...

Comment: I received my first order with a fish that was DOA today. (UPS apparently had a weather issue that turned overnight shipping into two-day shipping.) I followed the policy, sent my photos, and received my refund within 90 minutes of the shipment's arrival. Stuff happens, but Dan's handled it like the pros they are. Comment: The fish arrived safe and lively. They're all healthy, happy, enthusiastically eating and looking good. The Green Leaf Algae Eating Shrimp act a little differently to what was described. They seem to hide more than my Amanos did. They are healthy and picking off algae so I think they are fine, just not as out and about as the Amanos. I have a bunch of blue Neocaridinas in the tank with them fwiw. Great quality as usual!

Not only did the option to schedule the delivery provide a level of flexibility that I hadn't considered possible before, but I was also impressed by how my fish were securely packaged. Not to mention, the communication from customer service was timely and helpful! As for the fish, they look healthy, colorful, beautiful, and appear to be adjusting to being in the tank even after going through the mail. Comment: Although this is not my first online purchase of livestock for my 55-gallon freshwater aquarium, it is my first one from Dan's Fish. I must say the whole experience from purchase through delivery deserves a 5-star rating. From the initial order I could track the progress through the shipping, which UPS took over from there. The fish even arrived over 2 hours before the expected delivery time, another plus. All 10 of the Lemon Tetras are healthy and energetic in the tank, their color is washed out so I hope it returns after getting used to their new home. Thanks for an awesome experience, if you have what I'm looking for in stock during my next purchase I will definitely be considering you for them. I was overzealous with my initial order and ordered some fish that would have not done well in my tank size with the rest of the community I was purchasing. Their customer service was easy and fair. I ultimately purchased 9 tetra, 3 nerite snails, and 4 shrimp. All arrived happy and healthy. They have acclimated well to their new home and I have found watching my tank better than anything on TV. Comment: Overall, these are the healthiest fish I have ever bought! The shipping packaging was superior to anything I have seen. I ordered several fish, and though one pair did not ultimately survive, the rest of the fish are thriving. These fish were even healthier than what I have seen in local aquarium stores. Yes, they are more expensive at Dan’s, but the superior health is worth it. They refunded me the cost of the one pair immediately ….and I, almost as quickly, bought more fish from Dan’s. Each fish is packaged individually. The females were almost all pregnant. And two quickly gave birth within a few days! Bonus! I highly recommend this shop!

Comment: Second order of many to come. All nine fish are alive and look healthy. The colors on the guppies were not there when I unpacked them but once I put them in the tank by themselves they got all the color back. The shipping took 15 hours total from Wyoming to Ohio. Think this scares the fish pretty bad but no other way is better. All fish are beautiful. Thank you Dan and team.

Comment: Hello, Let me first begin by saying how much I appreciate your efforts, your wonderful selection, and your amazing shipping practices. Overall, I really love your service. However, I am very disappointed in my last order in that one of the species that I ordered, were so small, there was absolutely no way they could survive in a community tank. The Rasbora Phoenix we’re in fact so small, I had a hard time seeing them in the bag and transferring them to my tank. I managed to get them in my tank but have not seen them since I initially put them in. I am still hopeful that they’re hiding out somewhere as I have a large tank and perhaps they have chosen a spot where they feel safe as I have many sheltered and protected areas. I have a sinking suspicion however that they were perhaps eaten by one of the other fish because of their small size. Had I have known they were that small, I would’ve abstained from ordering them and ordered something different. I very very much wanted those particular fish for my collection and hope that in the future, you will refrain from selling species of that size until they are larger and big enough to give them a better chance of survival. Comment: recently received an overnight shipment of live fish from Dan’s Fish, and I felt compelled to share just how impressed I am with the entire experience. From the moment the box arrived, it was clear that great care had gone into the packaging. Everything was meticulously prepared, and the box was still warm from the heat packs—something that immediately reassured me about the well-being of the fish during transit. After watching a YouTube video about Dan’s Fish and how they run their operation, I felt confident enough to take a chance and not quarantine my fish and release them in my main tank after slow acclimating them. Five days later, the fish are thriving in my 180-gallon, well-established planted tank, alongside fish I’ve had for years. While the shipping cost may seem a bit high at first, it is absolutely worth it for the peace of mind and the quality of care taken to ensure the fish arrive healthy and stress-free. Comment: Hi Dan, the fish arrived safely and all were alive, which is great. I have to say that they were MUCH smaller than I anticipated. We have two angels in that particular tank about the size of a half dollar, and half of the celestial danios were gone within 2 minutes. Perhaps you could indicate the size of the fish on your website.

Comment: I got 13 phoenix rasboras, 12 green neon tetras and 8 kuhli loaches and every single one of them was in excellent condition when they arrived. Most of them were jumping straight out of the bags on their own when it was time to release them, and went straight to normal fish activities. Even after just a few minutes out of the box and still in the bags, I was already seeing some great color on some of them. And the way the fish are packaged is so convenient for checking up on each one and setting them up to be acclimated. I also got some very prompt help when I asked about the preferred foods for each fish and what they'd been eating up until now. I couldn't be happier with my order and I hope all of these little guys love their new home!
