Comment: Absolute best service I have ever had. One fish came DOA and one fish came in deformed let Dan know and almost immediately responded and refunded me for the DOA and pair which only one fish was deformed. Rest of the fish came beautiful and active. Will buy from again.

Comment: When fish arrived and I opened the box the temp was between 71 and 73 degrees ,the three pea puffers were just laying on the bottom of the bags ,I thought they were all dead but seeing signs of life I floated them in there tank ,It took about 20 minutes before they showed good signs of life and now after 3 hours in the aquarium they are looking good, time will tell. P.S. the temp bags were at 71 to 73 degrees not good. Ed Frohman

Comment: Incredible quality! I redid my 220 gallon tank and was excited to finally add fish. It’s a South American community tank. I’m so glad I choose Dan’s Fish to start stocking the tank. The fish are healthy and are thriving in their new habitat. Doing great when everything is going well is great, but making things right when things don't is even better. Comment: They came in a bit hot @ 87°. All but one seemed pretty active in the bags, one was laying on his side a bit. Temp acclimated for about 45 min. Everyone swam off into a very heavily planted 40 breeder out of the net. As the day went on I found the one that looked a bit off lying on the sand. He didn’t make it but the others seem pretty happy, lots of chasing and racing going on. ;*****update***** Woke up to an email from dans fish letting me know they saw the review and no questions asked are happy to make it right. That’s some top notch customer care. No debates or back and forth, just 100% ready to do the right thing for a customer. I’m super impressed.

Comment: Hi there! I ordered an electric blue acara and 6 peacock gudgeons. I waited about 3-4 days to review because I wanted to make sure everyone was still doing well after the fact. Guess what, they still are! Everyone is very healthy, loving their food, and not shy at all. After I initially acclimated them, within 20 minutes everyone was swimming around their tanks exploring. Comment: I was in the 2% that didn't have a great first impression but Dan is a man of his word and I will order again. For 12 years I've relied on local shops or driving an hour with my Styrofoam cooler to pick up fish and I really appreciate anyone doing a good job selling fish online. Comment: I have been hesitant on ordering fish online after being disappointed from some other big name suppliers in the past but this was an amazing experience. Ordered 10 blueberry tetras which already caused anxiety due to the cost but each fish came in as healthy as can be, great colors/quality and were actually larger than expected which is always a plus. Every fish is still alive and thriving and never showed any signs of disease or illness. The cherry on top for me was that they bagged each fish individually with labels of what they were and what tank they came from. This is above and beyond in my opinion but just further speaks to the care they take in getting these fish to their forever homes. They have a forever customer in me from now on and I’d recommend them to anyone looking to buy fish online!

Comment: Even though a freak winter storm hit, Dan's fish was prepared! They sent the fish with a heating pack inside, and while they were lethargic when they arrived, they perked right up! One shrimp even MOLTED in the shipping bag, and another did it while I was acclimating them. They all look fat and sassy for sure, and as of now they all look very healthy in their new homes.

Comment: I had one of the best experiences with Dan’s fish. The box was well packaged and each fish in their own bag is above and beyond. The fish, 6 (super reds ) plecos were in excellent condition. I floated them for 2o min like described on the card inside the box. And let them go into a grow out tank I have for other plecos. It’s also darker in that corner. I checked on them 3 hours later and couldn’t see them all, so I sunk a good pinch of crushed flake. And within seconds they all came out to eat. It was awesome to see. I will definitely do business with Dan again. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the care and great fish you have.

Comment: These guys arrived early Tuesday morning. It’s that annoying time of year where Dan is still getting snow storms but Long Island is getting beautiful early spring days. The heat pack was 106° and the water in the bags was 87°. They looked pretty stressed so I killed the lights and let them temp acclimate for about 40 minutes. Bags had come down to tank temp so I released. The travel and temps seemed to have gotten the best of them so I left them alone for the rest of the day. By the next afternoon one was gone but the rest were huddled together. They were incredibly skittish, every time I came near the tank they went into absolute panic mode. They did eat some live bbs though. Today they seem better and went after the bbs with a bit more zeal. I think they’ll be fine. It’s a tough time of year for fish shipping from dans area, but all things considered I think they did a great job. ;*****update***** Woke up to an email from dans fish letting me know they saw the review and no questions asked are happy to make it right. That’s some top notch customer care. No debates or back and forth, just 100% ready to do the right thing for a customer. I’m super impressed. .

Comment: I ordered a Zebra loach after the snails got out of hand in my planted tank. Then I realized they needed a group, so I added 4 more. Then I realized I needed a small school that would work with my Neon Blue Eyes, so I ordered some Orange Lemon Tetras. I changed my order 3 times before they mailed it out, and they still got everything perfect. I've got some happy health fish who were curious and hungry right out of the box. Those are some happy fish!

Comment: Came in fat and sassy, I have a few 10 gallon quarantine tanks and wasn’t expecting for the females to be the size of a betta lol so know that going in that a 20 gallon might be better for the size of the females! But great fish overall, very healthy!
