Comment: Fish arrived quickly, faster than I expected actually. A little washed out in color, but that's to be expected, everyone was still active though. Each fish individually double bagged with clear labels printed on them, no guessing who's who. Heat pack never lost any heat, felt like they just put it in. Extremely impressed with everything so far.

I received zebra loach (he/she is beautiful), True Siamese algae eater (so cute & busy) & 4 Lemon tetra fish (red eyes:) they seem very happy in 150 tank. I have already placed a second order!! My husband taught me how to care for his fish before he passed 2 yrs ago. Lol he told me in about 2 years our old fish will start to die, go to aquariumcoop app & use who he recommends! Comment: Unfortunately, the Reticulated Hillstream Loach didn't survive the trip but everyone else has acclimated well after the 1st week. The long-fin Cherry Barbs are stunning! Although very tiny, this particular batch of Black Otos and CPD's are particularly impressive.

Comment: Everyone arrived in good shape. All doing very well the 1st few days. The shrimp have already begun to feed on the tank algae. The Platinum Rummynose Tetras colored up and joined the school within hours and the Reticulated Hillstream Loach wasted no time looking for algae on the tank glass, plants and rocks. I was initially concerned with the size of the Chile Rasbora. Almost the size of most fish fry. However, they quickly sought refuge in some floating plants and are schooling with the other Chile and Strawberry Rasbora that have been in the tank for about 8-10 months.

They seem super stressed from shipping so I turned off the lights in my aquarium for the day, but they immediately nibbled on an algae wafer a few hours after releasing them into the tank. Comment: All 17 Platinum Rummynose arrived alive and good looking. After acclimating and adding to the tank, 1 seems to be listless and weak. The rest seem very healthy and happy. I'll keep an eye on the 1 possible dud, but I'm otherwise pleased with the fish. This makes 30 total Platinum Rummynose I've received from Dan's Fish, so even if the 1 does not make it, 29 out of 30 isn't bad! So I'd give a 4.83333/5 rating. We can round that to 5.

Comment: Spectacular process for shipping resulting in the delivery of fish that are in prime condition. Dan's also seems to source only from quality suppliers so the livestock is almost always premium. Indeed, all of the fish I received were wonderful.... with one exception. The Angelfish had badly damaged pectoral, caudal and anal fins. It appeared to have been badly bullied. It's a beautiful fish, but I don't know that it will make it with badly shredded fins. So four stars because of this one unique issue. The shop deserves five stars. Wonderful in every way.

Comment: Dansfish rocks when it comes to shipping! I've never had fish arrive so carefully packed and it makes all the difference in the cold and with the various carriers maligned with delays. Another thing that Dansfish rocks is the quality of the fish they sell. All of my order, except for one blueberry snail, arrived looking healthy and strong. 24 hours later all are settling in well and seem to be adjusting just fine. I got Chili Rasbora, who seem to be notoriously delicate. While most of the 14 that came are still hiding, 6 were already out cruising their new home. That's already 100% better than the previous vendor I was using. Obviously, I highly recommend Dansfish!

Comment: I recently purchased a pair of Apistogramma Borelli Opal from Dan's Fish, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The fish arrived in perfect condition, thanks to the excellent packaging. Both the male and female were in excellent health, with vibrant colors and flawless fins. The female was a bit smaller than I expected, but that's not a problem at all. They acclimated to my planted tank quickly and showed no signs of stress. I was initially skeptical about ordering fish online, but Dan's Fish exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be purchasing from them again!

Comment: Good lord which out of the 8 orders over 7 months, and two very different address locations, containing 155 aquatic critters do I do a review? I've only had one dead on arrival, which was a halfbeak which wasn't surprising to me with my first order. I've had maybe 3 max neons out of 30+ over 3 orders that where a little mangled I thought 'i'll need to keep an eye on that one's Very well cared for fish, shrimps and snails as a life long and now middle aged aquarist. That worked for a time in my late teens early 20s in a box pet chain store that had fish and other live stock. An incredibly professional and exemplary run company. I can't say enough good things especially when my alternates where I live and nearby while stocking up are only the box pet food stores with an aquarium section. The fish often do come a little on the small side and for good reason they ship so much better as I learned transporting my thriving orange shrimp colony over 3 days and 950 miles. The little ones made it the older ones didn't. Hope to make it up to the facility one day! Thanks Dan and team. You all rock!

While I waited for my fish to arrive, I asked a couple questions regarding the fish I was getting to ensure I was properly prepared. They always answered promptly and were extremely helpful! When the fish arrived, each fish was in its own bag. All of them arrived in excellent condition with no signs of health issues and this was not a small order (18 fish and 4 amano shrimp). I currently have them in quarantine and cannot wait to add them all to my main tank. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Comment: Ordering some (for me) expensive fish in the dead of winter probably wasn't my brightest idea, but all 10 of the fish I ordered arrived alive and warm (73F), despite sub-freezing temps outside. All appear very healthy--one female apisto was a little thinner than the others, but she's very active and picking at algae and plants, so clearly she's doing alright. As always, very well-packed, with no danger of the fish getting jostled too badly. The individual packing of each fish is always a great touch too.

Out of 6 Kerri Tetras we have only had 2 die offs since we got them. We have had worse luck with ordering and purchasing fish over the past year from various places so it does not warrant an issue with us. We will be ordering more when I start gaining tank space or more more tanks set up.

Comment: My order was delivered in perfect condition. The heat packs were still warm and the fish bags were reading 73 degrees. Not too shabby for a winter delivery. All fish were in good condition and settled in to the 2 year old cycled quarantine tank. Cory’s and Pleco’s were eating off the bottom sand and algae on the walls right away.

Comment: Okay so this is an odd review because I did receive a dead fish however it was not the fault of Dan’s fish. There was a horrible snowstorm when we had feet of snow and bad winds. It was worse than expected. The delivery truck could not get through and ended up out in the cold longer than the truck should have been. They managed to deliver the next day. All were healthy but the pleco, who are not the best shippers in the first place. The customer support was wonderful and we got the refund for the fish. It was not the fault of Dan’s and they were supportive and kind.

Comment: I really wanted to leave a 5 star review. I have been following the channel for months and admired the vision of healthy fish and safe shipping. I waited and waited as my local fish store was scared for me if I ordered online. When the laser cory's were down to just a few, I finally pulled the plug (my local store was having issues getting the fish I wanted). I unfortunately was told after my confirmation they did not have the 2 main ones I wanted anymore. So I substituted one. I do wnat to say communictaion was great. When they arrived the inside box and water was 90 degrees. I acclimated them slowly and quarantined them for almost 2 weeks and 2 of them never really colored up. I ended up losing one shortly after and the other is still not colored up. My advice for customers is check the weather. They were freezing in WY but in TX we were in the 70-80s. My delivery did not sit outside waiting for me, it was immediately brought inside. I do not how Dan’s could have prevented this. Delays in shipping and weather happen. If I order again I will be making sure to compare the shipping places weather and our weather.
