Comment: My first order. I was so worried about live fish being in the mail, but everyone is doing great! I heard so many great comments on Aquarium Co-op Facebook page about Dans fish I gave it a try and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. I love killifish and it’s great to have the opportunity to get fish I can’t find in my local fish store.

Comment: You'd think ordering 2 time zones away would make a person skeptical. Not Dan's Fish. All 4 times I've ordered fish were packaged individually with necessary heat packs and arrived alive. The 7 cherry tetras today are beautiful and get along great with the 8 lemon tetras I bought earlier. Now I need to buy another aquarium and order more fish.

Comment: I was very worried because the fish shipped out Monday and were stuck in customs for two days. They finally arrived today (Thursday) and all of them made it! They still look great despite being stuck in transit for long. I think that really speaks to the health and quality of the fish.

Comment: All my fish came in packed well, temp packs doing a great job, and lively and healthy! The chili rasboras are tiny but mighty! So cute and fit right in with the ones I got before! My platinum angel, named Tony DiNozzo that will eventually be added with Ziva David, is loving his tank and is stunning! The Coral Red Teacup Platys are so vibrant and active! They are gorgeous checking out the plants and driftwood. I have waited a while to finally have a tank for them, and Dans Fish did not disappoint ! Finally, I ordered some Diamond Tetras to go with some I found a couple months ago at a LFS. Dans Fish sent me the healthiest, much larger and so pretty Diamond tetras and I could not have wished for any fish amongst all of these to have been better! I 100% recommend Dan’s Fish and have many times already! Thank you Dan and team, you are much appreciated!

Comment: 3/4 Dwarf Redtail Eels arrived looking very healthy, one of them not so much. It was clearly emaciated, which hasn’t been the usual standard with Dan’s Fish but I can understand that it’s not a simple operation. I reached out and got answers to all my questions from Jonny, which is appreciated. All four eels are doing awesome almost two months later.. From what I’ve seen each eel has its own distinct personality and appetite.

Comment: I have no prior experience ordering fish online but the quality of what I have available locally has really declined over the years so I decided to give this site a chance. Overall I am pleased fish arrived all alive and appear to be in good shape 5 out of 6 of them have already eaten for sure. 4 out of the 6 fish were not double bagged, but that doesn't seem to be an issue just leaving it here so that they maybe double check in the future in most cases I am guessing it's fine but had shipping been delayed who knows. I am confident Dan's fish would have worked with me regardless though had the worst come to pass. My next fish order will be from them as well I am confident that this will be my go to online fish store of choice going forward,

Comment: These have all been doing amazingly except one Cardinal tetra. It arrived in very rough shape and died within hours. The Hongslo's dwarf cichlids, the habrosus corys, the remainder of the Cardinal tetras, and even the elusive Mega Clown Pleco have been just great and healthy.

Comment: 3 stars because I received fish alive. 3 stars because the fish in the picture of the ad did not match what I received at all. When I emailed dansfish about it, they told me I received the offspring of the fish in the picture and that if I did my own line breeding I could hopefully get back to what was in the advertised picture. That assumes the person has the time and space to do so, and dedicate many generations of work to get back to the pictured fish. Dansfish was responsive in emails and eventually took care of the problem. I like doing business with them because they normally have very nice fish, and good customer service.

Comment: Dan says, "Ever wonder why our fish are more expensive?" I can answer that question in one simple statement; quality has is not cheap. You can see it in the packaging, shipping, quality of the livestock, and quick replies to my questions. I ordered 4 cories and they hit my tank "running" and haven't slowed down since. Comment: I just received my first order from Dan's Fish and I'm very pleased with the whole experience. I ordered an Angel Fish and a pair of Apistogrammas. I was surprised how small each of the bags that contained the fish were, but they were undeniably well packaged. They even came with a heat pack. Prior to shipping, Dan's Fish emailed me with a shipping plan to ensure I could receive the fish in a timely fashion. You can get fish cheaper elsewhere, and I have... But the care and attention to detail from Dan's Fish is clear. Everything on the order was 1st rate.

Comment: Just got my delivery today. The care that’s taken to ship these creatures is stunning. Needless to say everything arrived healthy. The fish themselves are incredible and bred beautifully. The statement “you get what you pay for” has never been more true. $10.00 less would have yielded me weakly bred fish at a minimum, a bag of DOA and struggling fish would be more like it. Comment: Celebes are looking and acting GREAT! Fantastic addition. The Peacock Gudgeon hid for the 1st 3 days, but appears to have paired up with my other Peacock and "nested" in a little cave inside one of the Dragon Stones. Only see them very rarely as I have them in a heavily planted 90 gallon community tank. Seem to come out when the light dims. Actually thought they had both perished. After about a month after delivery, all the Celebes and both of the Peacock Gudgeons died within a week. Since the water quality tested out perfect, I believe both species were not competing for food against many of the faster tetras in the tank. Comment: Absolutely awesome! Fish came in extremely well packed. Each fish was individually packed and double bagged. Heating packs were still warm. Fish came in extremely healthy. No doa's. 2 weeks later everyone is healthy and happy. A little pricey, but considering the condition and rarity of the fish, more than worth it! Highly recommend!!

Comment: I recently received my order Ruaha mouthbrooders and black bellied limia. Every one looked to be in good condition. Best and most lively fish I have seen on arrival in my limited experience with shipped fish.They were a little thin from travel, and are still very shy and stressed (less than 48 hours after arrival). All of that seems to be normal and they are recovering. There are no signs of illness caused by this stress. They are regaining the weight and slowly becoming less shy. Thanks to Dan's crew for supply high quality fish. Well worth the price to get humanely treated fish. I expect to buy from Dan's in the future.

I have fish purchased from Dan's fish when he was a fry (just a few yoke sack days old, LOL) in the business. 3 to 4 years ago! Dan's ethos for aquatic animal care works!
