  • Comment: This was my first time ordering fish online, and I was initially a bit nervous about having them shipped overnight. However, the entire process went incredibly smoothly. I received a notification when the fish were out for delivery and set up tracking to make sure I’d be available the moment they arrived. The fish are beautiful and in excellent condition, clearly showing the care Dan’s Fish puts into their service. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend them!

  • Comment: All my fish came in packed well, temp packs doing a great job, and lively and healthy! The chili rasboras are tiny but mighty! So cute and fit right in with the ones I got before! My platinum angel, named Tony DiNozzo that will eventually be added with Ziva David, is loving his tank and is stunning! The Coral Red Teacup Platys are so vibrant and active! They are gorgeous checking out the plants and driftwood. I have waited a while to finally have a tank for them, and Dans Fish did not disappoint ! Finally, I ordered some Diamond Tetras to go with some I found a couple months ago at a LFS. Dans Fish sent me the healthiest, much larger and so pretty Diamond tetras and I could not have wished for any fish amongst all of these to have been better! I 100% recommend Dan’s Fish and have many times already! Thank you Dan and team, you are much appreciated!

  • Comment: 3/4 Dwarf Redtail Eels arrived looking very healthy, one of them not so much. It was clearly emaciated, which hasn’t been the usual standard with Dan’s Fish but I can understand that it’s not a simple operation. I reached out and got answers to all my questions from Jonny, which is appreciated. All four eels are doing awesome almost two months later.. From what I’ve seen each eel has its own distinct personality and appetite.

  • Comment: I have no prior experience ordering fish online but the quality of what I have available locally has really declined over the years so I decided to give this site a chance. Overall I am pleased fish arrived all alive and appear to be in good shape 5 out of 6 of them have already eaten for sure. 4 out of the 6 fish were not double bagged, but that doesn't seem to be an issue just leaving it here so that they maybe double check in the future in most cases I am guessing it's fine but had shipping been delayed who knows. I am confident Dan's fish would have worked with me regardless though had the worst come to pass. My next fish order will be from them as well I am confident that this will be my go to online fish store of choice going forward,

My two G.Kuhli loaches are danger noodling around, my gudgeons are exploring and my little tiger dario is destroying the micro organisms in my desk tank. Good stuff!

  • Comment: I just received my first order from Dan's Fish and I'm very pleased with the whole experience. I ordered an Angel Fish and a pair of Apistogrammas. I was surprised how small each of the bags that contained the fish were, but they were undeniably well packaged. They even came with a heat pack. Prior to shipping, Dan's Fish emailed me with a shipping plan to ensure I could receive the fish in a timely fashion. You can get fish cheaper elsewhere, and I have... But the care and attention to detail from Dan's Fish is clear. Everything on the order was 1st rate.

The fish themselves are incredible and bred beautifully. The statement “you get what you pay for” has never been more true. $10.00 less would have yielded me weakly bred fish at a minimum, a bag of DOA and struggling fish would be more like it.   • Comment: Celebes are looking and acting GREAT! Fantastic addition. The Peacock Gudgeon hid for the 1st 3 days, but appears to have paired up with my other Peacock and "nested" in a little cave inside one of the Dragon Stones. Only see them very rarely as I have them in a heavily planted 90 gallon community tank. Seem to come out when the light dims. Actually thought they had both perished. After about a month after delivery, all the Celebes and both of the Peacock Gudgeons died within a week. Since the water quality tested out perfect, I believe both species were not competing for food against many of the faster tetras in the tank. My 1st year with this 90 gallon nano fish community tank has been a real education.....

  • Comment: I recently received my order Ruaha mouthbrooders and black bellied limia. Every one looked to be in good condition. Best and most lively fish I have seen on arrival in my limited experience with shipped fish.They were a little thin from travel, and are still very shy and stressed (less than 48 hours after arrival). All of that seems to be normal and they are recovering. There are no signs of illness caused by this stress. They are regaining the weight and slowly becoming less shy. Thanks to Dan's crew for supply high quality fish. Well worth the price to get humanely treated fish. I expect to buy from Dan's in the future.

They all came (kubotais and cpds) healthy, active and looking great. The kubotais are active and look good with all my red plants. The cpds are shy (I knew this) and are congregating in the back behind the plants and hardscape. Thanks!

  • Comment: Great experience. I ordered 13 fish and all arrived alive and healthy. Unfortunately I did lose one of the fish I purchased, a platy, after 10 days--but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because I emailed Dan's Fish about the loss and included a photo, and they responded that the fish appeared to be infected with camallanus worms. They included a link to an Aquarium Co-Op post about how to treat my tank for the infestation. I followed the directions and saw ALL my fish perk up right away! I've been losing fish slowly, one here and two there, for months. My LFS was no help in diagnosing the problem, but Dan's Fish solved it with a photo and now my entire tank is much happier. I'm done shopping elsewhere for fish. Thank you!

Peacock eels and their cousins are my absolute favorite fish, but I have always felt wild caught is less than ideal, especially in terms of conservation, personality, and overall health/lifespan of any fish. When i had seen that dan's fish had access to aquarium bred and raised specimens I immediately added them to my wish list, and as soon as they were back in stock I knew i had to immediately order one! They came in perfect health and were very eager to explore their new home. After floating the bag for 20 minutes I released them into the tank and after hiding for a few minutes they explored and became comfortable very quickly. They have been eating very well and have been showing 0 signs of stress. I can't wait to order again for my other tanks! Thank you Dan for offering the best of the best and setting new standards for the aquarium hobby!

Each of the three live bearers species I’ve purchased recently spawned within a month of receiving, some in just a day or two. The BC Livebearer seems to be especially prolific- I’ve got about 30 fry now and counting. Healthy fish!

  • Comment: My first order convinced me to be a Dan’s Fish customer for life. I had bought cardinal tetras from 2 other vendors and had very poor outcome. My fish from Dan’s came healthy, with good weight and I did not lose a single fish. Highly recommend Dan’s to everyone! Also, their customer service is amazing! I was going to be out of town and asked the shipment to be postponed a few days and the team was very responsive and accommodating.

  • Comment: You may be thinking, 6-8$ for a 0.5 inch fish. GTFO HERE! I haven't had the best luck with online orders. They usually arrive sickly and in p*ss yellow water. This isnt the case with Dan's Fish. It shows that the staff really love the fish and pride themselves in running an honest business. I bought 10 harlequin rasboras and 4 chili rasboras (to make up from fish that died within 1 week of buying). Each arrived in their own separate bag, heat sealed, water clear, these HRs were wild! while floating them in my tank (as instructed) these guys were ramming the bags trying to get out. They came very lively, didnt eat at first so figured they must gut pack them before shipping? They came in with great color as well! Very excited and will be ordering more fish soon! Just spend the extra money for love, quality, and healthy fish!
