  • Comment: My very first fish for my very first tank and I could not be happier. Because I am handicapped, I could not visit local stores (that all seem to have impossible isles to navigate w/ a walker and stairs to climb). So I had never even seen ember tetras or CPD’s but these fish — every single one of them—arrived fat and sassy and ready to rock ‘n’ roll. At first I thought it would be trouble to unpack fishes one by one but it turned out to be an unexpected joy to have time to spend with each individual fish looking it over, talking to it, and introducing it to its new home. Kudos to Dan and his team. I expect I’ll be getting a lot more fish from you, especially as I’ll be moving to Wyoming soon.

At 1” & 1/2”-2”, you’ll have a lot of time to enjoy them as you watch them grow up. They look exactly like they will as adults, & they are truly breathtaking. If you’ve been on the fence about Archers- roll the dice on these; they’re the real deal. Beautifully marked & exceptionally healthy fish.   • Comment: The good: The fish are stunning, it’s worth spending a little more for the platinum rummy their bodies are iridescent and much flashier then the normal rummy. I’m local so I picked them up in person. They were carefully individually packaging, a detail I would have loved if I was shipping. The bad: 7 of the ten fish I bought were very stressed and some had significant damage to their noses to the point of having no red left. Three were in perfect condition. If I was shipping I would chock this up to shipping stress but having picked them up in person this was a little disappointing. I properly acclimated them into a well cycled tank and this morning all of the sick looking fish were dead. The three healthy looking ones are doing well and are beautiful but three survivors out of ten on a $80 investment is disappointing.

I’m really glad I did because they are very colorful, comical and all around entertaining. Their fins are like mermaids of the freshwater gobies.   • Comment: Expensive shipping. Took a week to be shipped but then it was thankfully sent next-day. All five fish arrived alive even though ice pack was goopy and hot. They arrived much smaller than expected but I guess that's ok because they'll grow up. I'm a little disappointed that it looks like I was sent 5 of all the same gender but I'm crossing my fingers as they get older their appearances will change and I'll be wrong about that. They transitioned into my heavily planted tank quite well and they seem at ease. I'm glad I ordered because it's my first attempt at this species and they were kind of hard to find, but those few things made the experience less than 100%. It definitely could've gone worse though, so I'd still consider this company again in the future if they have something I want bad enough to fork over the shipping again.

My CW-140 Corydoras came in about 5 days ago. So far all the fish have made it, they love their new tank and colored up quickly, ate within an hour of being introduced. Packaging is amazing, however I recommend removing the first of two bags before floating for temp acclimation, I think I shocked one fish due to this, but he later rebounded. JamesBFishtanks

  • Comment: There are no words to describe how healthy these fish came in. I ordered Cardinal Tetras, Otos, Hillstream Loaches, two Super Red Bushynoses, and one pea puffer. All individually bagged and the packing was top notch. All fish were colored up in less than 15 minutes and swimming happily. I was worried about ordering Otos online but they were beautiful and healthy, and I have 6 months worth of algae and biofilm for them to feast on. The pea puffer was a bit skinny and it hasn’t eaten yet (frozen bloodworms and live black worms) but overall seems in good health and is exploring the 40g with lots of energy. Beautiful, quality fish, I will be stocking all of my tanks with Dansfish. UPDATE: Puffer is now eating. I’d give 10/5 if I could.
