Comment: The fish arrived healthy and happy. They were packed individually so they weren’t banging into each other on the trip. They also added extra bags of warm water so they fit tightly in the box. The heating pads were still warm when I opened the box. I was expecting small baby fish and they were all healthy adults. Comment: Got another perfect shipment. Good temperature in the box, and everyone arrived alive and healthy. The Bloody Mary hillstream loaches were pale at first, but within hours had coloured up beautifully. The corys are still young, but their yellow fins have coloured up since yesterday. All of the fish are eating ravenously, as you would expect since they've been without food for the entire journey. As usual, Dan's did' a super job. They are definitely the ones to go to, and I'd recommend (and have recommended) them to anyone. They run as good an operation as anyone I know of. Further, they make sure that their fish are in top health when they send them out. It is an absolute pleasure to do business with people who care about the fish as much as I do.

Comment: This was the first, and so far my only fish which arrived dead. The heat pace apparently failed in transit, and since UPS had it in their truck all day, it froze. On the plus side of things Dan's Fish didn't hesitate to issue a refund. You can never fault the service of Dan's Fish. Their service, combined with the fact that very nearly all of the fish they send out arrive in great health is the reason that I would (and have) recommended them to anyone. It also should be noted that the failure of the heat pack was probably not their fault. Sometimes there's just a faulty one. No one can expect things to go perfectly every time. That poor little fish just happened to draw the unlucky straw this time out.

Comment: I don’t know of any other online fish retailer that does it better that Dan’s Fish. After a 24 hour delivery delay due to some wicked winter weather in upstate NY (you know- snow, wind, zero visibility, temps in the teens) ALL of my fish and shrimp arrived alive in 48hrs and are doing great! I can tell you, I was not hopeful. The water temp. was 71* and the heat packs still had some warmth to them. I gave them a couple hours to settle, and all were feeding later that evening. It just goes to show you that shipping HEALTHY fish CORRECTLY by people who CARE makes a difference. Great job to everyone at Dan’s Fish!! Thank you. Lisa W

Comment: Everything about my order was fantastic! All of my fish arrived alive and healthy, and the pre-shipment information was clear and concise. My giant kuhlis are doing fantastic and even started doing their little kuhli dance within a couple of days! It's so fun to watch them noodle around the substrate. I was a little worried about my dwarf red-tail eel because I've never kept a freshwater eel before, but he is my most favorite fish of everything I've ever kept. He was pretty skittish at first, but now he's super chill. He even comes up to my hand and wiggles his little snout around my fingers when I'm trimming plants and cleaning! He's quite the little pig as well. All in all, great experience, and I've just placed another order for some guppies and endler's for another tank I have.

Comment: You'd think ordering 2 time zones away would make a person skeptical. Not Dan's Fish. All 4 times I've ordered fish were packaged individually with necessary heat packs and arrived alive. The 7 cherry tetras today are beautiful and get along great with the 8 lemon tetras I bought earlier. Now I need to buy another aquarium and order more fish.

Comment: I was very worried because the fish shipped out Monday and were stuck in customs for two days. They finally arrived today (Thursday) and all of them made it! They still look great despite being stuck in transit for long. I think that really speaks to the health and quality of the fish.
