The coloration of the cardinal tetras is stunning, and I love watching their little school in my aquarium. The Julii Corydoras are super cute, they adapted quickly and soon started hanging out with the three I already had.

  • Comment: You weren't kidding about these critters' appetites! I am amazed at what these Green Leaf Algae Eating Shrimp have done for my heavily planted and well lit (Finnex 24/7 CVR Aquarium LED Light) 20 Long tanks. I primarily 'had' hair algae growing at ends of the Vals and other plant leaves that reached the top of one tank and a hard green algae on on my Java Ferns and Val leaves in the other. The tanks were set up last September. The hair algae (which I did not mind on top of the driftwood) was manually removed every week or so, but it was working into the java fern as well. Not a problem anymore! I am hoping that the link copies of the betta tank that had the really bad hair algae.

  • Comment: I ordered some Tanganyika Killifish from Dan's Fish and I must say it was a seamless and stress free process. I have actually always been too scared to order fish online, but after some research, put my trust in Dan's Fish. I'm very happy I did as the fish I got came in and acclimated very quickly. They even ate that same day. My fish were packaged nicely insulated and heated via heat pad, with an added layer of protection so the fish didn't overheat. Very impressed and happy, and my fish are doing great days later. The great customer service,quality of shipping and sheer variety of aquatic critters is something that will bring me back here many more times. Thanks again!

  • Comment: Another perfect shipment from Dan' Fish. This is the 5th order totaling 51 fish and 42 shrimp. Upon inspection of this shipment at delivery, here is what I found. Sturdy box insulated with heat packs. Heat packs at 81 deg. Individually bagged Fish, water at 76 deg. Ammonia in the fish packs tested at less than 0.25 ppm (only the slightest green in the color change, which is to be expected). Fish are beautiful and alert. Score Card: For communication, 5 out of 5. Outstanding. For shipping, 5 out of 5. Unmatched attention to detail. For quality, 5 out of 5. Super healthy and active. For setting the bar high in the hobby, 5 bonus points. Over All Experience 20 out of 15 Bonus points had to be added because full marks wouldn't begin to tell the tell of the care and quality provided by The Dan's Fish Team. I Love These Guys! (And the fish are pretty spectacular as well!)

The blue highlights they are already showing makes me wonder how much more beautiful they will be after they fully settle in. You only had three left and I am glad I got all three.   • Comment: All my fish arrived alive and seemed healthy. Unfortunately all my Blue eyed fork tail rainbow fish died within 4 days. I do not think there was anything wrong on Dans end. The fish seem fine at first, but started to die one by one. My aquarium has a pH of 6.7 to 6.8. and I have soft water. Even though I tried to acclimate them appropriately, I think the change was just too much for them. I would still highly recommend Dan’s fish. I just need to make sure that I get the appropriate fish for my parameters next time.

  • Comment: This was my first order from Dan’s Fish, and it was by far my best experience with ordering fish online. Update: The Panda Garras were eating Repashy on Dan’s video, but mine eats exclusively biofilm. I have tried multiple prepared and frozen foods, but it hasn’t eaten any of them. I had to get some BacterAE to boost the biofilm and increased the light from 8 to 10 hours. I have an established tank with driftwood, leaves, river rock, and plants, and it completely stripped it of algae and visible biofilm the first week. Great little fish, with lots of personality, but it’s a constant grazer!

  • Comment: 58 bags of fish arrived this morning all in great shape and already eating brine shrimp. Pleasantly surprised how large the Lemon and Diamond tetras were. Adding an additional 17 Cardinals tetras to the tank makes a world of difference. The only issue I had was cutting open 58 bags. My hand is really sore. Lol. Great job as usual. Mike

  • Comment: Beautiful fish and a ethical way to ship live stock!! My Apistogramma ‘Blue Flame’ came in very good shape. The only negative thought is that it showed signs of being fin nipped. It is totally reasonable if all of the blue flame males are kept in the same tank for inventory so I understand. By the way the fish’s fins fully recovered so it’s not a big deal. All and all I ordered the fish about 4 weeks ago and it’s very healthy and the colors are vibrant. I would say it looks realllly similar to what the pictures show. Overall a great experience and I will continue to purchase from Dansfish.com. P.S. I wish in the future Dan would consider selling the females so we can get this amazing European breed variant readily available in the U.S.

The temperature in the box and bags was a comfy 78F and that is after shipment and sitting at my house for 5 hours while at work. I just have to say that the Limia species I have ordered from Dan's Fish over the last several months are fantastic fish! I am surprised that they are somewhat ignored. They are beautiful, varied across species, very peaceful, breed extremely well, ... . I could go on and on. Oh, in my last two orders that included Limia species, I got extras - babies in the bag with the females!

I received a Platinum Parrot, a Gold Roseline, a Thorichthys ellioti, and an Apisto Gold Red-Shoulder Macmasteri trio. All fish arrived alive and well. I can’t wait to watch these color up and grow! When the package arrived the water was a bit cold though the heat pack was still good. 65 degrees F, but cooler temperatures are okay with these guys. They colored up almost instantly once added to the tank and ate about an hour later.

  • Comment: This went perfectly - my 8 P. luminatus arrived at 72 degrees and they were quite active. I enjoyed opening my 8 little bags - cushiony like little pillows - double bagged of course. They are a very good size - I have some already and would say these arrived bigger than the ones i had bought locally. I was hesitant and had them in my cart for several weeks but then watched an Aquarium Co Op unboxing video and it tipped the scales. Now that i have done this once i will NOT hesitate and am a full-on fan.
