I was not emailed any label info or shipping info from UPS and emailed them 8pm the night they were suppose to be going out and delivered the next day and they were quick to respond! just A+ customer service. The fish arrived on time the next day and were packaged individually and looking lively! got all out and acclimated and immediately all started eating! I will come back and rave about Dan's fish more in the future!!!!!

Was sent notifications when were readying the shipment, when sent, when due to arrive and when they landed at my door. Beautiful, healthy, active fishes and shrimp, impeccable packaging, expedient shipping (UPS next day air - Wyoming to Maryland). 6/6/23 - This is now 2 weeks in and all are thriving, not a single loss! Will def be ordering from Dan’s again in future. The hype is real my fellow fishy friends! ❤️☮️🐠🦐

  • Comment: It's almost two weeks into receiving my order. I'd like to give my feedback. My fish were delivered without a problem. Packaging was very impressive. The fish were very healthy. It was obvious that they were well taken care of before they came to me. I've bought about thirty or so of the dwarf corys (both varieties) from other vendors over the past two years. Within a week they dwindled down to one or two. It's been just shy of two weeks since yours arrived and they are breeding and interacting in a way I've never witnessed before. No casualties as of now. Just got to say thank you for the effort. I couldn't be happier!

I will order again Update.. my little guys died all but 2 out of 6 .. I checked all my levels and found nothing wrong .. they were not eating from the start , which led me to believe they were just stressed out . Idk but I'm sad and I will not order baby Cory's again .. but I want them so bad .. I was issued a refund for the 5 fish I lost and will be ordering again soon ...

  • Comment: I ordered 6 Smudge spot Corydoras and 1 Panda Garra. All the fish arrived hale and hearty and were well packaged. I was very pleased to see that each Cory was packed with a piece of charcoal to offset any possible toxicity from stress release of their "venom" which I was slightly concerned about. After finally releasing them into the Leopoldi angelfish aquarium and observing them for several hours they are grouping well and have started searching for food. I should have ordered a few more and probably will. The Panda Garra was released into an Asian style community tank and immediately started munching away on algae and exploring. It did not revert to stress coloration at any time. Appears confident & content. Extremely pleased with the fish that have been impossible to find locally, as well with experience provided by Dan's Fish. Top notch!

  • Comment: This was the first order I actually had an issue with from Dan's. Bit annoyed by UPS right now, but Dan's Fish was extremely positive. I ended up losing half the order, but Dan's Fish worked with me on it and more than made it up to me. As Dan mentioned in the livestream, he actually considers why you'd be buying specific quantities from him. If half a pair doesn't make it, he may replace the lost fish so that your breeding project doesn't suffer. And the replacements aren't just culls he had sitting around, they're great looking fish in their own right. For an order that had as much trouble as it did, Dan's Fish went above and beyond to turn it around. I'm very pleased with the result. I've bought from him before, and I don't plan to ever stop.

  • Comment: Dan takes amazing care of his fish, better than most fishkeepers I'd say. At first glance I found his pricing too high but have come to recognize the costs more than reasonable. This was my first experience with an online shipper giving more than a 4-5 hour window for delivery. Dan gave a specific hour, and then was twenty minutes early. I can't imagine shopping anywhere else.

HOWEVER, I am fully sold on the quality at Dans fish bc these fish perked up and tonight (less than a week later!) they were already exhibiting spawning behavior! Hopefully they will make the adjustment to their new home and their little red noses will start glowing. Only took a few hours for all the Red Noses to light up. Now they’re constant motion, best schooling fish ever !

Temp reading was precisely 78.0F on opening. Fish are good sized, active, beautiful and healthy. Gold tetras are currently shining like the brightest diamonds in the late afternoon sunlight - WOWZER!   • Comment: Fish came in rather warm. Had readings from 84 to 86 . Took extra time in the acclimation first to the room temp of 72 then tank of 78 hour each way had the bags down to tank temp . Little warm for the rasboras so they were moving rather slowly . Swords perked right up once in the tank … fingers crossed … yes after my last order the quarenteen tank is back in action

  • Comment: Totally worth every penny, each fish purchased are vibrant and heathly, they ate dry food after an hour in the tank and are coloring up after 2 hours. Pygmy Cories ans Glowlight Danios are acting like they have been together forever, joy to watch these 2 species instantly school together, happy fish. Next day: They play all the time, happy fish.

  • Comment: Rating should really be 4.75, but they only offer whole numbers. I ordered 4 Denison Barbs which were great. I ordered 4 Apisto Cacatuoides (unsexed) and happily got 2 males and 2 females. Absolutely beautiful males! I also ordered 4 Corydoras sterbai "Aquarium Strain". This is where we went wrong. They did all arrive alive, but one was EXTREMELY skinny. It was moving in the bag, but once I got it out, I could see it better. It had the shape of a tadpole. Normal head, but no width behind. When I put them in the tank, it dropped right to the bottom and lay there upside down. It did move around a little bit over the next couple hours and I hoped for the best. I threw some frozen baby brine in, hoping it would start to eat, but it was dead within 3 hours. I would absolutely buy from Dansfish again, but, in this case, I don't think there was anything I could do to save this guy. *Just a follow up- I wasn't expecting a refund, but was happily surprised. Great customer service. Definitely getting more fish from Dansfish in the future.

  • Comment: I hate to leave this, but 3 weeks after my order I need to update my experience. Everything came in looking good. Ordered a pair of sailfin mollies, 6 Raccoon Tetras, 5 Red Celebes Halfbeaks "Muna Regency", 1 Hygrophila corymbosa 'Compacta', and 1 Microsorum pteropus 'Sunrise'. Mollies immediately developed stress ich, but responded well to salt. Raccoons are doing ok but a few were missing parts fins when they came in. Red Celebes developed a body fungus a couple days after delivery. After two back to back 5 day treatments with Maracyn I lost 3 out of 5. I did email Dan's Fish with my water parameters. They didn't say they were problematic and said to finish treatment. All of my tanks are seasoned with shrimp and plants living in them for at least 3 months prior to adding any fish. I have 14 other tanks going in the fish room and none of them have had any issues, other than the Dan's Fish tanks. Each species got it's own 20 gallon tank that's seasoned with plants and shrimp. The Compacta was tiny for the price while the Sunrise was amazing. On a $300 order I was happy with less than 1/2 the product. I might try them again in the future but my first experience was underwhelming. Stick to your LFS if you have one.
