Super easy wild-type betta. These are hardy and eat every kind of food I have tried including flakes, pellets, frozen, live, and Repashy.

These are one of the larger bubble nest building bettas and top out at about 3.5", give or take a bit, when full grown. The fish currently for sale are young adults and several of them still have quite a lot of growing to do.

Unlike domesticated bettas, these can be kept in groups provided plants or some other kind of cover is provided. They do well in community aquariums.

Like all wild-type bettas, these are expert jumpers. Please make sure you have a nice, tight fitting lid on your aquarium before you keep these.

Water Parameters: We keep all our fish at a temperature of 79 F.

Our pH measures around 8.3 with a KH and GH a bit over 300ppm. That being said, we want to caution folks with different water parameters from thinking that they need to change their water for our fish. We have many customers in the Pacific Northwest, Upstate New York, and other areas that have very soft water. Our fish do just fine in their water without any parameter matching. What is most important is that the water our fish are put in upon arrival have steady parameters, not that your water parameters match ours.
