Overview: These large, peaceful bettas are hardy, easy to care for, and are not picky about water parameters. They are not picky eaters, eagerly consuming flakes, pellets, frozen, and live food...if it fits into their mouth, they will eat it. They can be housed together without fighting and make great members of a community aquarium with other peaceful fish of an appropriate size. Even though they are larger than many Betta species, they are not fast swimmers. Their elegant, sedate swimming pace allows them to be kept in smaller aquariums than many other fish their size. 20 gallons is perfectly adequate for a few of these fish.
