"Will the real Kambolgie Creek please stand up?!"

There has been a lot of confusion regarding the "Kambolgie Creek" rainbowfish because historically, fish thus named were actually not from Kambolgie Creek at all, but were from Ferny Creek. This discrepancy was noted by Adrian Tappin and was also mentioned by Johannes Graf when he collected the true Kambolgie Creek location in 2015.

As far as I know from my sources, the fish being offered here are indeed the real Kambolgie Creek fish.

NOTE: To further complicate things, at present there seems to be a lot of confusion about the proper classification of these fish. Some refer to them as M. splendida inornata, others as M. solata and others as M. australis. I've chosen to go with Graf's use of M. australis until the scientists can come to a firm conclusion as to the proper name. Taxonomic confusion aside, Graf's pictures of the adults are stunning!
