These are a pure, locality strain wild species of swordtail. They get a bright metallic sheen to their body which is why the are sometimes called "Copper Swordtails" or "Brass Swordtails." This line originates in Lake Catemaco and was originally collected, bred, and distributed by Rusty Wessel. These fish are from that same lineage.
Wild-type swordtails generally take a while to sex out. These are young fish, and are not sexable at this time.
