Hilltrouts are like torpedo as they speed their way through the water. These have proven hardy and are active eaters, taking pretty much anything that can fit into their mouths. They have a reputation for being semi-aggressive, but mine are with endlers, bushynose, and zebra danios without any problems. Perhaps, like many species, they don't bother other species when they are kept in a large enough group. Or, perhaps, at their current half-grown size, they are more mild.

This species grows to about 4", so rainbows, barbs, and other robust fish will make great life-long tank makes.
