Topping out at a bit over 2", these little loaches have proven hardy, peaceful, gregarious, and good eaters.

Like hillstream loaches, they require well oxygenated water but do not require a ton of water flow. Mine are doing great with standard air-driven filters like sponge filters and box filters.

These are adults and range in size from about 1.5" to about 2".
