Overview: One of the most widely distributed Blue Eyes in Australia, ranging most of the east coast and even some nearby islands. In the wild they can be found from fresh to full marine conditions.

Setup Considerations: These fish hang out at the surface and breed in the roots of plants, so floating plants with long root systems are greatly appreciated.

Specific Care Requirements: They tolerate a wide range of water parameters, but don't do well with high flow. A simple air-driven filter such as a sponge filter or box filter works as do other filters which don't create too strong a current.

Diet: Omnivore. These guys are eating flakes, pellets, and baby brine.
