Overview:
These freshwater puffers from Africa are a holy grail in the puffer world. This is one of the few species of puffers that is considered peaceful. They can be kept solo or in groups as long as there are several to disperse aggression.

All of our puffers are de-wormed and must pass a diagnostic laboratory screening before we sell them.

Setup Considerations:
These puffers are very curious and like to explore structures in the water, so the more hardscape, plants, nooks, and crannies available for them to scan, the more enriched their lives will be.

Diet: Carnivore
These guys are currently eating frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, and frozen mysis shrimp. They get an occasional treat of live shrimp, live ostracods, and live snails, but their main diet is frozen foods. They can be trained to eat Hikari Vibra Bites, Xtreme Monster Pellets, and Repashy foods.
