Overview:
My favorite archer fish. Not only are they the most strikingly patterned of the group, but they are also a true freshwater fish that does not need the addition of any salt to the aquarium. This makes them the archer of choice for planted aquariums.

Setup Considerations: The more surface area, the better. These guys don't leave the top few inches of the aquarium very often. We keep ours with a bit of water sprite to help them feel more comfortable.

These guys need a tight lid with no cracks. Not only will they jump, they'll shoot water through the tiniest of cracks, which we've caught on our Livestream several times.

Diet: Carnivore
Insectivore. These guys aren't picky and will eat any prepared food near the surface. Gut loaded crickets or roaches make excellent treats.
