Fish Store Construction Progress

The building is starting to look like a real fish store! Electrical is completed and has passed inspection. The water treatment system’s smart sensors and controls are almost all installed. Aquariums are being placed on their racks and should all be placed and plumbed into the system by the end of this week. It’s been a busy month, and we are excited to show you the progress!!!!

Aquarium Systems in NEW Fish STORE Almost Complete!!!!

Electrical is done! Here’s a Before and an After pic of the panel.

Moving the last pallet of aquariums out of storage.

Getting the water supply, air supply, and drain pipes set in preparation for aquarium placement.

Painting the aquariums.

Drilling Tanks

First round of aquariums is on the racks. Second round is ready to paint.

Tanks have been unloaded from their pallets.

Air and water supply hoses have been connected to the tanks. Bulkheads and drain pipes have been connected as well.

Water and air loops on the trusses to feed the supply hoses to the aquariums.

Bathroom and work counter are functional…just need a few finishing touches.

About half of the lids have been cut and placed on the aquariums. The edges of the plastic lids are sharp, so we dipped them in clear Flex Seal to prevent cuts on our hands and arms.

The rest of the lids are cut and dipped, just waiting to go on their respective aquariums.

Sensors and controls for the various pieces of the water treatment system are getting installed. Left is the control panel for the water supply pump. Right are the control boxes for the UV Sterilizers.

The boiler loop and controls are basically complete.

Various gauges and sensors, some analog, some digital, are installed to keep the various parts of the water treatment system operating smoothly.

A mountain of bubble wrap from unpacking the aquarium pallets…makes a perfect place for nap time!

Meet Jonny, our new Customer Happiness Officer…modeling some very fashionable arm apparel

A casualty from a pallet that was dropped off the lift gate when the tanks were delivered last summer. Only 6 casualties out of 333 new aquariums, and we can patch and use all but 2 of them.

After a long hiatus due to winter weather, work has resumed on our water supply. The chunks of ice that were removed are over 12” thick.

Plumbing supplies for our water supply installation. They tell me the water supply will be done next week…we’ll see!
