Like Koi, aristocrats took great pleasure in developing breeds of ricefish with new colors, patterns, and finnage. There are currently over 500 recognized breeds of ricefish, only a few of which are currently available in the USA.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRicefish are curious, outgoing fish with personalities similar to guppies. They do well with other peaceful tankmates of an appropriate size.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis is one of the easiest egg-laying fish breed and raise. The eggs are large and tough.
